Bungee Bridge Combines Bridges and Token Swaps

A route can join a bridge transfer with token swaps before or after it. A bridge moves value between blockchains. A decentralized exchange, or DEX, trades one token for another through smart contracts: programs that follow set rules on a blockchain.

Say you hold USDC on Polygon but want ETH on Optimism. A route could swap your USDC, bridge an accepted token, then swap it into ETH. Optimism is a layer 2, a network that processes activity alongside Ethereum.
