A Duncan, Oklahoma mother, who was previously married to her son, has now been arrested for a lesbian marriage to her daughter. Patricia Spann, 43, and Misty Spann, 25, were legally married in March 2016 in Comanche County, Oklahoma. The mother and daughter ‘s relationship was discovered by the Department of Human Services in August during a child welfare investigation. Subsequently, a warrant was issued for the arrest of mother and daughter on Friday and they were both charged with incest and booked into the Stephens County Jail. Patricia Spann was married to one of her son’s in 2008 in an attempt to keep him from being deployed to active duty in the military. The son identified as Jody Spann had the marriage annulled in 2010 on the grounds of incest.
The mother and daughter married in an attempt to adopt a child earlier this year. However, under Oklahoma law, marrying a close relative is considered incest whether or not a sexual relationship exists. The mother told police she didn’t believe she was breaking any laws by marrying her daughter because her name is no longer listed on Misty’s birth certificate.
Spann had lost custody of her daughter and two sons, who were adopted and raised by their paternal grandmother. She then reunited with her daughter Misty two years ago and one of her sons had a comment about his mother and her actions. Cody Span is quoted as saying, “I think she’s worthless; she put my sister into this. She forced my sister into this, there’s a lot of people that know it. For you to want to put your own daughter through this, what kind of person are you? If that’s what you want that’s on you, but none of us kids want that, and now you got my sister behind bars because of your choices. Why don’t you let that sit on you as a mom?”
The mother and daughter were arrested and booked into the Stephens County Jail on incest charges.

A mother has revealed that she showers with her adult daughter every morning and. even takes the time to scrub her back and wash her hair as if she is still a little girl.
Mary, 55, and Brittani, 19, from Jensen Beach, Florida , are one of the six uncomfortably close mother-daughter duos documenting their over-the-top relationship on the second season of TLC's hit reality series sMothered .
'I have been taking showers and helping Brittani since she was five,' Mary says in a preview clip from the series, which premieres on Sunday,

Mary can be seen hopping in the shower with her daughter, telling her to 'move it over, baby,' as she steps inside and closes the sliding door.
'Ah, that feels so good,' she says when the hot water hits her.
'The best way to start our day is in the shower,' Mary explains in her testimonial.
The mom takes over shampooing Brittani's hair for her and then asks her to stay still so she can also scrub her back with soap.
'You need to tan or something, honey. You're so white,' Mary tells her daughter as she washes her.

While some would find Mary's behavior overbearing, Brittani insists she is happy about their daily shower routine.
'When my mom does simple things like washing my hair or my body, it makes me feel comforted,' she explains.
Mary is also content with their situation and doesn't care if anyone thinks it's weird.
'I love her, and I don't see anything wrong with it,' she says, though she admits she never imagined she would be this close to her daughter.
'I don't believe I set out to have a relationship this close to Brittani,' she says. 'It's something that was supposed to be.'
The mother and daughter have always lived together, and Brittani notes that if she moved away, her mom 'would probably die from separation anxiety.'

'She's probably right,' Mary agrees.
The mom told the New York Post that she started showering with Brittani when she was a child because she used to have panic attacks that they think were partly brought on by the hot water.
'That’s kind of how I started getting in the shower with her, just to comfort her because she would freak out,' she recalls. 'That grew into an every-other-day thing. When she was smaller, it was every day.'
When they're not showering together, they like to shop, get cosmetic surgery, and share a bed a night. Mary calls her daughter 'the love of my life.'
Their intense bond has gotten in the way of Mary's relationship with her live-in boyfriend, Frank, who reveals in the trailer for the show that he thinks it's time for Brittani to move out.
'It has caused some issues in my relationship, but he’s got to accept it,' Mary told The Post. 'That’s how it is. He knows I love him, but I love my daughter more — she’s my life.'
