In 2018, "Stormy Daniels" was the most defining search term on Pornhub dot com. When her name surfaced in the news, whether in reference to bribery payoffs on behalf of Donald Trump or " mushroom penis ," searches for her pornographic work skyrocketed. And right behind Stormy in terms of 2018's most defining search terms on Pornhub was "Fortnite." What a glorious year we've had.
Every year, Pornhub releases its " Year in Review " report, churning out statistics on America's kinks. And every year, we're confronted with data on what was tickling our sexual subconscious and how much time we dedicated to getting off. In 2018, the human race made a grand total of 33.5 billion visits to Pornhub, clocking in 92 million daily average visits to the site and 4,791,799 pornographic videos uploaded—enough hours for a single person to continuously watch porn without breaks for 115 years. Great effort out there, team.
The U.S. was the biggest consumer of porn in the world, according to Pornhub, with Americans spending an average of 10 min and 37 seconds on the site per visit, up four seconds from last year. American women made up 27 percent of Pornhub traffic, which was below the worldwide average of 29 percent. "Fortnite" was a top trending search for men and women, and Stormy Daniels was the most searched for porn star for women. In general, women's favorite search term in 2018 was "lesbian," and men's was "japanese."
As far as other porn searches that defined 2018, Pornhub said "romantic," "trans," and "tattoos" —"tattooed women" in particular—were all significant terms. Unfortunately, so was "Bowsette," the viral Nintendo gender-bending version Bowser with a sexy choker. (Last year's defining terms included "porn for women," which we took as a huge win, as well as "Rick and Morty" and "fidget spinner." Those were less flattering.)
Culture-wise, every Kardashian/Jenner sister but Kourtney made it into the top 30 celebrity searches —although Khloe Kardashian was less popular than Tristan Thompson .
And there's your snapshot. May we use it like a time capsule to pass down to our progeny, who hopefully continually have better porn to watch, especially now that Tumblr is banning "adult content," leaving many women and LGBTQ people without a good source for online arousal.

At the bottom of the list of most popular porn categories, at number 10, is Hentai. Yes, Hentai. As in anime porn where cartoon chicks have completely unrealistic sex and have humongous bouncy boobs. To each their own.
Number 9 on the list is the category where dudes have huge dicks, followed by porn for “Well-endowed women” in eighth place. The bigger the better, I suppose.
Seventh on the list turned out to be the fabulous category of anal, and I’m not even surprised. Most fellas say butt stuff freaks them out, but hard data doesn’t lie.
I see you, horny anal-porn lovers. You can’t hide from statistics.
Next on the list at number 6 is “Ebony,” because clearly, a lot of people love chocolate, if you know what I mean.
Rounding out the top five is “Mature” porn, a.k.a. porn star grannies and crusty old daddies, followed by “Teen” in fourth place, and “Amateur” in third.

What’s more is that the data revealed that the most popular porn category on the site from 2007 to 2010, meaning the first three years of Pornhub’s existence, was “Amateur.” Then, in 2011, since all you horny gents love young girls, that honor was passed over to the “Teen” category.
Once we hit 2012, “MILF” took over as #1 porn category and stayed there until it was replaced by “Lesbian” in 2014, which has been the reigning champion ever since.
