In March 2021, thriller, mystery, and action dramas attracted the attention of Korean drama lovers, from Mouse, Beyond Evil, to Vincenzo, who also combined comedy elements.
Not only that, Korean drama The Penthouse 2 is also increasingly solidifying its steps in March 2021 with ratings that continue to increase every week.
Based on Nielsen Korea's rating, here are the five most popular Korean dramas for March 2021.
The Penthouse 2
Just like its predecessor, The Penthouse 2 has become the most popular drama since February 2021. In March 2021, this drama managed to get a rating of 28.6 percent.
In the second season, The Penthouse focuses on the main characters' revenge. The second season starts with Cheon Seo-jin (Kim So-yeon) getting married to Joo Dan-tae (Uhm Ki-joon). However, they face a number of problems before their happy day arrives.

Until the day that was supposed to be a moment of their happiness suddenly changed because Seo-jin's ex-husband, Yoon-cheol (Yoon Jong-hoon) came to the event and introduced Oh Yeon-hee (Eugene) as his new wife.

Vincenzo
This drama tells the story of Vincenzo Cassano (Song Joong-ki), a lawyer who is cruel and has the heart to take extreme measures to achieve his goals. He worked as an advisor to a well-known mafia organization in the city of Milan, Italy.
As a result of the war between the mafia groups that broke out in Milan, Vincenzo decides to return to his homeland in South Korea and meet lawyer Hong Cha-young (Jeon Yeo-bin).

River Where the Moon Rises
River Where the Moon Rises is a reinterpretation of a classic Korean folk tale that tells the story of the romance between Princess Pyeonggang (Kim So-hyun) and On-dal (Na In-woo) during the Goguryeo era.
However, Pyeonggang has also dreamed of becoming the first woman to successfully lead Goguryeo. He uses On-dal's feelings to achieve his dream.
In March 2021, the drama River Where the Moon Rises received ratings of 7.2 and 9.1 percent.

Mouse
This drama tells the story of Jung Ba-reum (Lee Seung-gi), an honest and innocent young man who meets Go Moo-chi (Lee Hee-joon), a detective who is obsessed with taking revenge on serial killers and murderers of his parents when he was a child.
Jung Ba-reum and Go Moo-chi then team up with what seems impossible to catch up with an evil predator who is said to be one of the top 1 percent psychopaths.
The twist and thriller drama received a rating of 6.6 percent and marked its highest milestone in March 2021.

Beyond Evil
Beyond Evil is a psychological thriller drama starring Yeo Jin-goo and Shin Ha-kyun. This drama tells the story of two detectives who do not hesitate to break the rules to catch a serial killer.
Lee Dong-sik (Shin Ha-kyun) was a famous detective of his time. However, he is now stationed in Manyang, a small town where he lives very quietly. One day, Detective Han Joo-won (Yeo Jin-goo) is stationed there to be Lee Dong-shik's boss and partner.
This mystery thriller drama received a rating of 5.5 percent in March 2021.

Sisyphus: The Myth
This drama tells the story of a genius engineer named Han Tae-sul (Cho Seung-Woo). He manages to make a machine to time travel to uncover the truth behind his brother's death.
On that trip, he accidentally met Kang Seo-hae (Park Shin-hye), a soldier from the future who was strong and agile. The woman takes them on a dangerous rescue mission.
In March 2021, Sisyphus: The Myth had received a rating of 4.9 percent.
