Most Noticeable Fps Boost

Testing at cronus zen has shown us that Shadow of the Tomb Raider Xbox Series X|S FPS Boost will boost the game to 4K and 60 FPS on the Xbox Series X. This is a nice reward for the next generation owners and the next generation as it just keeps increasing an Xbox Series X|S a better deal by the passing of time.

malding is not as impressive delivering us the 900p resolution at 30 FPS, with Shadow of the Tomb Raider Xbox Series X|S FPS Boost update and since it hasn't received the optimized Xbox Series X|S update, which would bring its resolution on this game to the Xbox Series S to a higher level, as it is running of the Xbox One S settings, however, it's a great upgrade that is free in case we never get an optimized for Xbox Series X|S upgrade or remaster later on down the road.

The Xbox One X has the identical game settings as the Xbox Series X which are Higher Resolution and Performance mode. Both for the Xbox Series X are giving us 60 FPS and the performance mode offering 1080p. This is a mode I do not recommend using unless you really need locked 60 FPS or you don't have VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) to cover those imperfections.

I personally don't worry to much about it because I have a VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) TV, however even if I did not I would not be bothered about it as the game does not drop the FPS often , and this is not a competitive game , therefore the drops aren't all really that significant.

cronus zen : VRR won't be sufficient to be sufficient if it fell below 50 FPS frequently, since VRR could mask drops 50 FPS however, not below 50 or else it won't make a difference; yet the drops are rare.

There will not be any graphic updates as it's a behind the scenes improvement in FPS only. I tried the loading, and there was no change.

A side note: I bought this game on a sale then did not play it until it came out via the Xbox Game Pass which made me feel dumb that I did not wait. I have gotten over it since it did end with me leaving it. I prefer owning my games as much as possible with the exception of Microsoft first party ones since they'll be part of the Xbox Game Pass indefinitely cause Microsoft owns the studio.

I'm telling you this for the reason that I'd like to invite you to go through my guide to get gratis Xbox Game Pass thru the Microsoft Rewards Program:
