Order of publication: (2009 - 2018).

The release order is almost always the most workable for any anime, series, or movie; however there are some controversies and Monogatari Series may be one of them. And why I say that "it may be one of them" and not "it is one of them" is due precisely to the fact that the work does not and will never have an exact order to watch, but rather, several forms authorized even by the author himself. The order indicated by Nisio Isin is not complicated at all. Basically, you'll only place Kizumonogatari movies I, II and III after (1) Bakemonogatari. After finishing the 3 films, you must continue through (2) Nisemonogatari and follow the release order mentioned in the previous topic.
Nisio Isin Himself says that this is the order of best experience for those who are seeing it for the first time, as even though Kizumonogatari is set before, the audience needs to have a bit of background and knowledge about all the main characters featured in (1) Bakemonogatari. And let's face it, if the author messed up his entire timeline, it's because he wanted to show something that could only be seen this way. No wonder this series is so magical for its complexity.
