Money Goals. Rule № 3
❗️And one more word that your subconscious mind really dislikes — it’s the word “want.” Your conscious mind understands the word “want” perfectly: “I want an apple.” When we say: “I want to have an income of $5,000 per month” — everyone gets what we mean.
🧠 But how would you explain to your subconscious what you want? What is your subconscious supposed to understand at that moment? It understands numbers, yes — but at the level of a seven-year-old child. You can write “a million dollars,” “a billion dollars,” “a thousand dollars” — the child will perceive all of them the same way.
🎨 We’re told: you need to draw a picture of what you want to receive when you start making money. So draw a person who wants to go to Paris. Draw someone who wants a new Porsche. Draw someone who wants to earn more. What exactly are we drawing? Where is this person located?
🇫🇷 For example, “beret, baguette, tower — Paris”. Those are associations with Paris, not with the desire to be in Paris. That’s the image we see when we are already there. Or: “a person is sitting somewhere in Ukraine in a kitchen, and they’re thinking: baguette, beret, and tower”. That makes logical sense. But they’re sitting in the kitchen. So the subconscious takes your task as: sit in the kitchen and want to go to Paris.
📌 So how do we do it right? In Ukrainian and English, there is a verb form called the Future-in-the-Past. We know how to form thoughts so that something happened in the future, but as if it already happened in the past: “I went to Paris by such-and-such date in such-and-such year”. Then your brain — your subconscious part — will quickly pull up a clear image for you.
🔄 So: the conscious mind understands the word “want” perfectly. If your brain didn’t understand the difference between “want” and “don’t want,” you’d need to see a specialist. But if we’re talking about not wanting to achieve goals purely on a conscious level — meaning, we don’t want to put in extreme effort and would rather explain it to the subconscious — then the word “want” won’t work. The subconscious doesn’t understand it.
