We found Jill of Mom's Rides three years ago when we needed transportation to and from Palm Springs Airport when visiting my mother-in-law. She was perfectly on time for our return home with a 4:40am pickup to PSP! Talk about reliable... Recently my mother-in-law stopped driving and we started having Jill take her to her hair appointments, food shopping and even clothes shopping! My mother-in-law lives alone so Jill has been able to keep an eye on her for us. Jill is kind, compassionate, respectful and patient with my mother-in-law. Long time in writing my response> To the public Joyce and I are buddies . She has some dementia and can be hard of hearing. One of the most important things an elder needs to not begin to get depressed is make sure they can hear you when you speaking, eye contact repetition of a sentence until they have perfect understanding. After that it’s laughter and keeping in constant touch. I tell you these things because it matters and if just one person understands this concept perhaps our elders will have a better chance. I found out the night before surgery that I didn't have a ride! I was instructed not to take a cab or Uber and was panicked because I don't live here and have no one I know to call. So I checked out 10 best taxi services in Palm Springs and there she was! Jill, "Mom" instantly understood the issue..set a pickup time the next morning, gave me a wake up call, picked me up on time..got there in plenty of time..and then was there when I was ready to go home. She accompanied me into the apt to make sure I was settled and called later to check on me. Jill is the "mom" I needed even tho I'm WAY older than she!

Mom is always early when I need my ride from work and when I need my rides to Los Angeles she plans so I have time at the airport for any possible mishaps! When I plan with MOM, I feel like she does the thinking for me and I can relax on my rides with her. I needed an EARLY morning ride to the airport. I called MOM the evening before and she was very thorough in making sure she knew all of my important information. And the following morning, she came at exactly the time she said she would--all very reassuring when I wanted to be certain not to miss my flight. She even offered a wake-up call! Mom's is great. I needed a ride to the airport with a pick up at 4:30AM. I checked the ratings of the Coachella Valley taxi companies and was shocked how bad they are. Then a friend recommended Mom's and I called her and she was at my gate at 4:08!!!!! I can't recommend her more highly. When you are leaving at that time in the morning, it is imperative that your driver is ON TIME. I will be using her every time!

We used Jill's ride service (Mom's Rides) to get my mother-in-law to Palm Springs airport at 5am. Jill was great. Mom was anxious about making the early flight and Jill was very patient and communicated the day before and the day of the ride. She arrived early and texted to let us know she was here. Although Jill is slightly more expensive than Lyft or Uber, she was totally reliable and this was was well worth the extra $$. I highly recommend her service.
I had contacted Jill, our neighbor, last year when I needed to line up some help during surgery. Although I didn't use her at that time, I did contact her last week regarding an early morning ride to the airport. We texted details and she checked in the day before to confirm. Texted me when she was on her way as well. Arrived before time and introduced herself and helped with bags. Jill is professional, trustworthy, and dependable. I will use her services again and will recommend her without hesitation.

Hi, I’m a very private service and Im the guaranteed trusted ride in the valley. There is no cost I’m all volunteer services for donations within a minimum scale that is fair to all depending on the time of request and service needed. I’m a Mom and a service I’m not a business. Clients become family it’s not unusual for me to be extremely busy with one of my other 9 areas I help in throughout the year. The money donated goes back into the business and helping others. Sometimes the phone is answered Mons rides or hello depending on what I’m in the middle of. I’m sorry your experience didn’t go the way you had anticipated. I’m real and very busy and I happen to be very good. I’m sure had you taken the time to explain your situation beyond a quote you would have found out that I bend over backwards for all of my clients. At anytime if you pick another service and they happen to cancel on you last minute you can always call me back but my first quote I provided you becomes double. Please take my quotes seriously I have had this happen a few times. The titles guaranteed and trusted follow me for a reason.

Ridesharing is an eco-friendly way of commuting. Sharing your car with other people reduces emissions and contributes to preventing traffic jams. If you’re interested in ridesharing, you might be wondering how you can find rides or how you can turn your usual commute into a carpool.
You’re probably familiar with Uber and Lyft but might not have heard of lesser-known apps like Curb, Gett, or Wingz. These apps provide you with different options for requesting rides, finding a carpool in your area, or hailing taxis.
San Francisco-based Uber is by far the most popular ridesharing service around. As of April 2022, Uber has 93 million active users. The app works worldwide, too, so you can count on Uber to get you home even if you’re partying in another country.
Uber’s pricing is fairly competitive with other offerings, and with the number of drivers on the platform, you should have no trouble getting a standard fare ride on most days. If you don’t mind riding with strangers, Uber provides a discounted carpooling option in most cities called uberPOOL to make the expense a little more palatable. If you’re riding with a larger group you can use the app to split the fare among passengers, which is a great convenience for nights out with the gang.
Aside from UberPOOL, Uber offers a variety of ride types across different price points. Here’s a quick rundown of the rides you’ll find in most major cities:
Should you or one of the members of your party need it, Uber is one of the few on-demand services offering a disabled access option called UberASSIST. Select it in a supported city, and you’ll get a certified driver with a vehicle large enough to accommodate folding a scooter or folding wheelchair.
Uber is the big papa of the rideshare world, but it’s far from the only option. Let’s take a look at a few other options.
Lyft, the second-largest ridesharing app by volume — and our favorite — offers transport in over 644 U.S. cities including New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Making its way to becoming international, Lyft is now available in 12 cities in Canada. Perhaps best known for the bright pink mustaches that once adorned the grills of its drivers’ cars, Lyft offers a range of vehicles to choose from, including average-sized Lyft autos and larger Lyft Plus cars. They have also joined the mass migration towards scooters, with mixed results .
Much like Uber, Lyft institutes demand-based pricing during the busiest hours. Unlike Uber, Lyft caps premiums at 3x. If that still sounds too rich for your blood, Lyft offers a carpooling service called Lyft Line, which lets you split fares between passengers if you opt for a larger private car. Lyft offers a few ride options similar to Uber. Their Lyft Lux rides are very similar to Uber Lux. You’ll be paired with a newer car that has a leather or vinyl interior. Lux Black and Lux Black XL are the top-tier rides from Lyft in both Sedan and SUV sizes.
Gett, the Israel-based ridesharing app formerly known as GetTaxi, has a user base that pales in comparison to Uber and Lyft. The service covers more than 100 cities globally, namely in the U.K., USA, and Israel. Abroad, users can request a variety of transportation options, including both traditional cabs and limousine services.
The biggest incentive for using Gett while traveling abroad, however, is pricing. The service never charges a premium during busy hours and pays drivers a competitive hourly wage rather than a percentage of every fare, like Uber and Lyft. The company then passes those
