After 7 years of passing by this resto we finally took the leap and were pleasantly surprised. From the outside it looks like a bland building, not very welcoming and like many of the roadside point point venues on the highway north. Inside is like... a traditional Filipino home. Food is cooked from scratch and takes around 30 minutes to cook.
The menu is good Filipino food with a few international additions.
Service was ok though half our mean arrived several minutes before the rice and other dishes which always irritates me.
The salmon head sinigang was tasty, fresh and full of vegetables and was nice and warm on a rainy day. Calamare was crispy and served with a nice dip though no lemon slice. The pochero was the hero. Tender beef, just perfectly cooked and the addition of chorizo just added a smoky sweet taste of heaven to the sauce. One of the two best pochero I ever had. We continually leave the city looking for food due to the lack of venues in city limits and after all these years of driving past I wish we had visited sooner More
We went here last weekend for lunch. They have a cool and classic interior design and the prices are not that bad. They serve different varieties of Filipino dishes. If you love bagoong rice, try their kalkag rice. The only concern we had was the... heat. We went there around 2pm and it was so hot that even if we they put 2 fans just for us, we were still sweating. But overall, it was a good experience! More
