This contributed to my parents, mostly my mom's, obsession with good grades. The only grade I was allowed to have was a 6 or a 5.5 and sometimes even then they wouldnt be happy about it. Once i got a 5.5 in a french exam (french is my 3rd language) and they got super pissed that it wasnt a 6.
