A Colombian woman gave birth to a baby who required her own C-section, following the revelation that the child was "pregnant."
Mónica Vega gave birth to a baby girl, named Itzmara, earlier this year after doctors performed a C-section 37 weeks into her pregnancy, Mamás Latinas reported at the time . One day later, Vega received some shocking news.
In a case that is now receiving international attention , Vega learned from doctors that Itzmara needed her own C-section. It turned out the one-day-old infant was "pregnant" with a parasitic twin.
Itzmara was diagnosed with fetus-in-fetu (FIF), an extremely rare condition in which a malformed fetus grows within the body of its twin sibling. FIF is so uncommon that only 200 cases have ever been documented in medical journals, according to an August study published in BMJ Case Reports .
The "twin" found growing inside Itzmara — which did not have a heart or brain — was removed via C-section 24 hours after Vega originally gave birth. Doctors were reportedly concerned that had the twin continued growing, it could have damaged Itzmara's internal organs.
Mamás Latinas reported that Itzmara recovered fully and is in good condition.
Not all cases of FIF are treated immediately though. In a case study reported in August , doctors found an unborn twin growing inside the body of a 17-year-old girl.
The teen, who lived in India, had complained of stomach aches for several years. As it turned out, she was actually dealing with a tumor that contained parts of a fetus. Doctors in that case found hair, teeth, bones and "other body parts" when they removed the tumor.

On 1 April 2016, the domain badcriminals.com (under the brand of TmzWorldstar.com ) published an article reporting that an unnamed mother had admitted on Facebook to maintaining an affair with and becoming pregnant by her 15-year-old son:
A mother posted a status on Facebook saying she is having relations with her 15 Year old son and they also have a child together.
“For those who don’t know, me and my 15 year old son had a baby last year together. I had sex with him when he was 14 years old. The baby came out fine. Just to let you know, I also have three (3) daughters who are thirteen (13), fourteen (14), and sixteen (16).
My son is a great dad and also a great boyfriend to me. This all started when I realized that I started to get feelings for him I decided to have a one and one talk with him. I told him “mommy loves you more than what it means to just be a mommy to you”. I also told him that “mommy likes you just like how a girl from school likes you.
The claim was duplicated by similar outlets (such as Daily Media Buzz ), but there was no truth to any version of the story. Both TmzWorldstar.com and Daily Media Buzz are fake news sites known for publishing shocking, fabricated tales intended to lure site visitors via social media. The individuals depicted in the accompanying photographs were not identified, but the pictures were likely taken from a random social media account without permission.
TmzWorldstar.com ‘s prior viral hoaxes include a claim that a then-recent Powerball lottery winner died of a cocaine overdose ; the site also swiped other fake news outlets’ fabrications about a man marrying a baby and Jaden Smith planning a penectomy for his 18th birthday. Daily Media Buzz maintained the same habit of copying extant fake news items including claims an obese woman starved her seven children, Powerball lottery winners Lisa and John Robinson were giving money away to Facebook users, a badly mutilated baby was discovered in a dumpster following a botched abortion , and a Gabourey Sidibe death hoax. Neither site appeared to host a disclaimer marking content as fake news , but both carried falsified claims that appeared on myriad similar sites.

A popular social media influencer who ran away with her husband’s eldest son is now pregnant by him.
Marina Balmasheva posted a video to her 411,000 followers showing the moment she and 20-year-old student Vladimir ‘Vova’ Shavyrin found out they are expecting a baby.
The 35-year-old had been Vova's stepmother since he was seven.
Meanwhile, her five adopted children, she had been raising with ex-husband Alexey Shavyrin, her lover’s father, are now living with him.
Angry Alexey said: “She seduced my son, Vova is not capable of that.
“He had not had a girlfriend before her.
“They were not shy to have sex while I was at home.
“I would have forgiven her cheating, if it wasn't my son.”
He claimed: “She was running to my son's bed from our bedroom when I was sleeping.
“After that she was coming back and lying in bed with me as if nothing had happened
“When I found out about everything, I demanded a divorce.”

Vladimir’s mother - another ex-wife of Alexey’s - would help them care for the baby, she added.
