They say it's the thought that counts, but when that thought could end with accidental grandbabies, maybe the ol' adage doesn't exactly apply.
Take this seemingly well-intentioned mom, for example, who left a handy note and a little gift for her son to prep him for his big date with "Ashley."
As you can see from the letter, posted to Imgur, the loving mom trusts her son enough to snog, but because hey, 2016, she went the extra mile to make dang sure he was practicing safe sex.
The problem? If you've ever used a condom before, or have general common sense, you probably know that holes make this particular form of contraception pretty ineffective. So it's a shame the mom pinned it to the board. A mistake the reddit community is currently having a field day with.
We're sincerely hoping her young stallion knew better than to use the defective thing. But, then again, maybe she hoped her gesture would freak him out so much that when he thought of getting frisky, he'd associate the idea with his mom, and change his mind. That's some quality birth control.
Now, I wonder what she made for dinner?
