Thanks to Tesalate for sponsoring this post.
The summer beach season is officially over here in New Jersey, but for me, it's just beginning! That's because after Labor Day, my favorite New Jersey beach towns lift their dog restrictions, and I can bring my pup on the beach and the boardwalk! So I was excited when I was given the opportunity to review a Tesalate beach towel—it will come in handy for our beach excursions! My towel also works great for weekend picnics. Tesalate towels are lightweight and are designed to stay sand-free and dry in half the time of a regular beach towel. Plus, Continue reading...

Happy Monday! Today my blogging friends and I are getting together to share after-school snacks for the Taste Creations recipe blog hop. We get together the first Monday of every month to share recipes, and today we are all sharing our after-school-snack recipes! My kids are in college now (sniff!) but I'll pretend that they are home so I can whip up a tasty afternoon snack—I am always up for a good snack! I tried some pimento cheese when I went to the Haven blogging conference a few years ago with my friend Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom. I thought the cheese dip was so good, so I decided to make Continue reading...

Thanks to Lovepop cards for sponsoring this post.
Both my twins recently went back to college—they are in their second year. I miss them so much! I like to send them special surprises throughout the year to let them know that I am thinking of them. I recently learned about Lovepop cards, really beautiful pop-up thank you cards and other 3D greeting cards designed for every occasion.
Beautiful Pop-Up Greeting Cards
I think both my kids will really enjoy receiving the Lovepops greeting cards that I've selected for them. I chose the flower pot notecards 4-pack, which gives me two Continue reading...

Thanks to Long Rich for sponsoring this post.
I am a big Amazon shopper and am always finding new favorite products. In this post, I'd thought I'd share some of my new favorite finds! Among my new faves are a soft and comfy plush throw, a dog bed for my pup, a cross-body bag, a monocular telescope, bluetooth headphones, and a set of silicone baking pans.

My Shih Tzu Mochi is my loyal companion. He sits by my side as I work in my office for my day job. I felt sorry for him since he often would sleep on the floor by my feet, so I decided to get a big fluffy Continue reading...

My family recently returned from a week-long stay on Keuka Lake in New York's Finger Lakes. Our waterfront cottage was located only a block or two south of Penn Yan, which was convenient for short trips into town for shopping or picking up groceries and takeout. Penn Yan is also a fairly short drive to towns like Hammondsport and Watkins Glen for day trips. We had a fun week of visiting local farms, shopping, and splashing and paddling in the lake.
Beautiful Keuka Lake
I love Keuka Lake. When I was a kid, my grandparents lived in Penn Yan a few blocks from the lake, and we used to stay a Continue reading...

I live in Central New Jersey, which means that I have lots of wonderful farmers markets near me. I can drive just a few minutes away from my town in almost any direction and reach beautiful farmland. I love it! So recently, when I needed to come up with my family's Sunday night dinner, I decided to visit Lee's Turkey Farm, one of the local farmers markets within a few miles from my house, and pick up ingredients for a delicious salad filled with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. I also got some spring salad greens, avocado and fresh rotisserie chicken from my local supermarket.
My Continue reading...

Apple cider vinegar, ACV, has been a worldwide weight loss and wellness trend in recent decades. Its proponents have established that it has a variety of positive effects, including assisting in the killing of dangerous germs, lowering inflammation, boosting weight loss, and even slowing the aging process.
However, if you're fasting intermittently, you could be thinking, "Can I make use of ACV while fasting?" Yes, you can! is the answer, which is great news for the typical apple cider vinegar enthusiast.
Before adding apple cider vinegar to the intermittent fasting program, Continue reading...

Summer is here, heralding the start of a new season with warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours. You've heard that you should wash your hair every day to keep it looking fresh and clean, but who has the time to do so? Between work, school, and social obligations, everyone is usually late. It would be simpler to just leave it dirty and leave it that way.
But, according to Dr. G.K. Sharma, medical director at a world-class hair transplant center, this is bad for one’s hair. When you go more than a few days without washing your hair, the renowned hair transplant doctor warns, it Continue reading...

I spend much of my work days with a hot cup of tea. But I've been reading that cold brews are milder and sweeter than hot-brewed coffee and that coffee contains healthy antioxidants, can lower inflammation and can protect against disease, so I decided to give cold brews a try. Not to mention that I normally need a caffeine boost to get me through my day. Plus, my friends at Lardera Coffee Roasters recently sent me two of their straight-from-the-farm ground coffees to try, Kenya Washed and Tipica Honey plus a Lardera Cold Brew Pitcher ($24), so I figured the time was right to start making some Continue reading...

The verdict is in ; Cari is a Placement Specialist Extraordinaire! From the second I heard her voice I knew I was speaking with the right person! She is very personable, professional, compassionate and experienced in dealing with the nuances of finding home care for loved ones. Cari answered questions I didn't know to ask and guided me in dealing with Long Term Care insurance! Cari is also very respectful of her employees; that always speaks volumes. I encourage all who are looking for Home Care... call Mom's; Cari will surpass your expo! Expectations
Said I called too late. Recommended 23 hour service bc I couldn't find someone reliable at the last minute. Scam.
I cannot agree more with all the 5 star rating for Mom's Home Care! Wow! Wow! Wow! That is all I can say about Cari and Mom's Home Care. Cari H. was probably among the best, most competent, caring, courteous, conscientious, supportive, considerate, knowledgeable, helpful person I have spoken to in a long time! And that is saying a lot because I am dealing with a family member in and out of hospice. So, I feel that I am always on the phone - needing someone's help and/or advice. I usually end up just frustrated. Not so with Cari! During this latest Covid spike, we thought we might need a back-up caregiver who would come into a Covid "situation" and because we had previously used Mom's Home Care (to find the best caregiver in the world!), we thought we would check back with Lucien again. I spoke to Cari and as soon as I explained our situation, she understood completely and was on the case! While always being so supportive and empathetic, she was efficient and constructive. She always called me back when she said she would, she checked in with us daily - I just cannot say enough good things about my experience with Mom's Home Care. From their front office (Marina!) to their administrative staff, they are simply the best! Every medical worker, doctor or nurse that has come into our home to care for our family member has mentioned how exceedingly well she is cared for. One doctor went so far as to say that our family member would not have "fared so well" w
