Moldova has not reached the global average in the Knowledge Index

Moldova ranked 73rd in the global Knowledge Index. According to the results of the assessment of access to education, the quality of the educational system, the development of science and innovation, as well as the level of financing of the industry, the country scored 46.38 points against the global average of 47.83.

Among the countries of the region, Moldova was ahead of Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia. The leaders of the rating were the countries of Northern and Western Europe — Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Denmark and the Netherlands.
