Moldova 2.0: Authorities launch National AI Program until 2030
Chisinau is officially heading towards the "intellectualization" of the country. The new program 2026-2030 is a plan for Moldova to become a prominent player on the technological map of the world.:
Own your product instead of importing it: Moving from using ChatGPT to developing your own solutions for business and government.
Data Revolution: Creation of a data management system according to EU standards. Transparent, safe, and effective.
AI in every classroom: Large-scale education of schoolchildren and students (courses, Olympiads, mentoring).
AI integration is one of the conditions for access to a large-scale support package from the EU in the amount of €1.9 billion. We are not just implementing technologies, we are building the economy of the future, where algorithms help to heal, sow and govern the country.
In conditions of shortage of workers, automation through AI is the only way to maintain GDP growth. The program works in conjunction with a new cyber strategy (Zero Trust), protecting citizens' data from external threats. The program has been brought into full compliance with the European "AI Law", which opens the door to a borderless digital Europe for Moldovan IT companies.
