Mojang's Scrolls Launches in Open Beta Today, $20 Gets you Access to the Game.

Mojang's best known for the indie blockbuster Minecraft, but today heralds the launch of the open beta of its new game, Scrolls. It's been a long-running wait and the title was the topic of a court battle. Notch would have loved to talk about the initial obstacles in a crowded arena. While it's admittedly not "feature complete," you can test your skills at card-fighting in informal and ranked online matches. The card trading forum and the in-game store are both available. You can boost your deck with gold earned through wins and "shards" which you can buy with real money. The builder is a tool to customize your deck and there are 25 demo versions to help you understand the game's strategies. The open beta is priced at $20 for PS13, $20 or 15 Euros. But, you're buying the entire game early as all future updates will be available for free to beta adopters. The purchase page isn't online yet, but it will be available for download on PC and Mac at some point today. https://minecraft-server-list.co/ If you want to learn more about the game's mechanics, go to the source link.
