Model Behavior Monitor
Digital nomads. Work from anywhereCompany: Olive Tree Consulting Group
Olive Tree is looking for a Model Behavior Monitor to help us track how automated systems interact with real world business decisions. As we assist clients in clarifying their internal processes, we increasingly look at how artificial intelligence affects those workflows. This part-time, contract role is focused on the consistency and accuracy of these automated outputs. It is a fully remote position that allows for flexible scheduling throughout the week.
About the Role
This role exists to provide a human check on model outputs. At Olive Tree, we believe that tools should make work easier to hold, not more complicated. When a model begins to provide inconsistent or irrelevant advice, it creates new management friction. The Model Behavior Monitor watches for these shifts. You will be checking specific outputs against established guidelines to ensure they remain grounded in practical reality. This work supports our broader advisory projects by ensuring our technical recommendations stay reliable and plain spoken.
What You Will Do
* Review model responses for accuracy based on a set of provided standards.
* Flag instances where the model uses overly complex or vague language instead of plain English.
* Document recurring patterns or errors that could lead to poor decision making for clients.
* Participate in remote team check-ins to discuss findings and refine monitoring criteria.
* Transcribe specific interactions into a clear written format for our consultants to review.
* Categorize outputs based on how well they align with a client's specific management style.
* Verify that automated summaries do not lose the critical details found in the original source notes.
* Create brief, clear reports on performance trends observed during your shift.
What We Are Looking For
* A clear and direct writing style that avoids jargon or corporate fluff.
* High attention to detail when looking through large amounts of text.
* The ability to work independently and manage your own time in a remote setting.
* A curious mindset that enjoys figuring out why a system might be behaving a certain way.
* Patience for repetitive tasks that require high levels of concentration.
* Comfort using various digital tools and shared documents for record keeping.
* A commitment to honesty and clarity in all internal communications.
Helpful Background
* Familiarity with basic AI concepts or regular use of common chat models.
* Interest in management consulting, business operations, or organizational psychology.
* Previous experience in data entry, content moderation, or basic research projects.
* A habit of taking organized, useful notes in school or for personal projects.
* The ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms to those who are not tech savvy.
* Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
What We Offer
This is a fully remote contract that fits around other commitments like studies or personal projects. The work is intermittent and part-time, providing flexibility for those who prefer a non-traditional schedule. We provide a pay rate that is competitive and attractive for this type of entry level work. You will get exposure to the inner workings of a high level management advisory practice and the chance to develop a professional eye for detail and clear communication. We maintain a quiet, focused work environment where we value your time and avoid unnecessary meetings.
About Olive Tree
Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems; they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company's growth.
We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own.
The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
