History

 MMA first gained attention from many people in North America after the Gracie family decided to showcase its trademark Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the United States in the 1990s. Helio's son, Royce Gracie, represented his family at the 1993 UFC 1 tournament in Denver, Colorado.

Scoring

 A 10-point system will be the standard system for scoring. Under the 10-point system, the winner of the round must be given 10 points and the loser must be given 9 points or less. Except for even-numbered rounds (10-10).


How to win
