“A lot of people ask how I got into the business. It’s a long and interesting story, so I wrote a book about it,” Mistress T explained.
There Is More to The Story is available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle, as well as on Audible – and the audiobook is narrated by the Mistress herself!
Mistress T is originally from Nova Scotia. She moved to Vancouver when she was twenty and got into the adult business when she was around thirty. “I’m 44 now, so that’s closing in on fifteen years’ experience,” she shared.
Before adult work, she went to school for and worked in sales and marketing in various “vanilla” industries.
Mistress T loves nature, in particular, hot springs. “I’m also a fan of skinny dipping in rivers and lakes, even when they’re very cold,” she said. She also has a pet lovebird who is very social.
Small in stature, Mistress T packs a commanding presence. “I’m really tiny, just five feet tall, and my feet are so petite the smallest adult women’s shoes are sometimes too big,” she shared. “In videos and pics, the camera angle is usually low and my legs are long, giving me the illusion of height — fans are often surprised at my size when they meet me!”

Loyalfans: What about working online suits you the best?
Mistress T : Working online allows me complete freedom of my schedule. I can work as much or as little as I want. For me, the most challenging thing is reading certain emails or messages. Sometimes messages are rude or unintelligent, and often the volume is just overwhelming.
When you think about your relationship with your most loyal fans, what stands out as the most important aspect?
The best fans I have are well mannered and financially generous. That is the best combination. Unfortunately, I simply don’t have time to give my attention to everyone who wants it, even if I might really enjoy connecting with them. I need to focus my attention on those who understand I’m running a business, value my time, and are able to compensate me fairly it. The generous tend to be lovely to connect with, as well. Cuckolds hold a special place in my heart.
What impact do you hope to have on the world at large?
I hope that my work leads to less stigmatization of sex work and more humanization of sex workers. Hopefully, that leads to safer working conditions and a safer world for sex workers. I also hope for more acceptance of kink and fetishes so people can explore and enjoy their sexuality without shame — unless shame is their kink!
If you could change one thing about today’s world, what would it be and why?
If I could change one thing about today’s world, I would have everyone see the similarities and not the differences in humans. Less divide — more equality, kindness, and working together to help every human have a good quality of life. To be treated fairly by each other, as well as having a comfortable and hygienic place to live, healthy food, clean water, access to medical care, mental health care, and education for anyone who wants it.

What I liked best about this book is that the author didn’t just describe her journey up and into the porn industry (and specifically FemDomm), but she humanized the experience very effectively. Mistress T not only told the story, mostly chronologically, but she told how it felt along the way and wrapped up the book by describing how she got there and what it’s done to her along the way. She also came to an understanding of what events happened while she was young that made her the perfect, Mist

This is an amusing memoir. I came for the raciness but stayed for the adventure. The author’s wanderlust made for a delightful journey as she braved peril and navigated unfamiliar paths, both geographical and amorous.

I'm definitely a fan and porn bios also intrigue me, so picking this up was a no-brainer. I found the book to be an easy read with a charismatic voice that transforms the story into a page-turner, but I found some of the authorial decisions baffling and the sudden tonal shift of the final chapter and subsequent wrap-up to be the literary equivalent of a ruined orgasm (which may very well be appropriate given this is a bio for a femdom porn star, but I digress). Mistress T has lived a strange and interesting life and I found her tales of dining with crime bosses in Mexico or nearly getting mauled to death by monkeys in India just as fascinating as the way in which she kinda-sorta backdoored her way to the top of the fetish porn scene through an unconventional route. She's also not afraid to admit certain unglamorous truths about herself, such as her fixation on beauty and the aging process or her man-eating ways. For instance, I found it darkly ironic to learn that her real-life relationship with her earliest stunt cock - the 'bull' in countless Mistress T fantasy videos - came to a disastrous conclusion after she made him the cuckold for real off-screen. However, I was confused by the decision to change the names of almost anything related to the porn industry. Websites, production companies, and even performers are given assumed names, which is odd considering most people picking this book up are already fans. There's a section where she discusses one of her more popular scenes and it's painfully obvious she's talking about Shane Diesel, but his name is changed for reasons that escape me. One of the only adult entertainment industry people that is referred to by their actual stage name is Samantha Mack, who Mistress T apparently had something of a relationship with at some point. It's the only part of the biography where the author refuses to go into any detail, which also confused me. Why mention it at all if you're not comfortable talking about it? I do wish more time was dedicated to the inner workings of Mistress T's business and brand. She is immensely proud of what she's accomplished and the business is undoubtedly a big part of who she is, but there are only snippets of the business side of things peppered throughout the second half of the book. Likewise, I'd love to know more about the directorial and creative side of her smut making. Much is made of Mistress T the performer, but she's also directed and edited a huge chunk of her own content too and it doesn't get as much of a mention as I would have expected. I suppose the fan in me wanted to know more about that side of the business too.

A very different book than the typical "porn star" bio. Which makes sense since Mistress T is not a typical pornstar. I really enjoyed this one. T appears to potentially burn some bridges and because it's mostly about personal friends and relatives it doesn't come off as vindictive like when stars "tell-all" on other celebrities (T has mostly stayed out of the mainstream industry, instead curating her own website, content and career). It puts humanity to a sex workers story, and not in a self pitying or "victim" way that humanity usually shows in these biographies. It's a remarkable journey. Glad I read it.
