Rachel laughed lightly as Quinn spoke and held onto her a little bit tighter. “Well I guess we have my dads to thank, if they hadn’t owed your dad then we never would have been brought together. You’re my world, Quinn. You and each of our beautiful babies.”
“We do. I don’t know what would’ve happened to Lily and I if you didn’t come into our life. You saved us.” She smiled at her wife. “You are my world, and will always be my world. Just like how our babies will be my world. They will know nothing but love in this world.”
Rachel smiled tiredly up at Quinn and watched her for a moment before laughing. “Definitely no more for a while.. I don’t think I could handle more.” She admitted while gently rubbing their babies backs and sighing contently. “I love you, Quinn.”
She laughed lightly. “I don’t think any of us could handle any more crazy kids running around our house for a while.” She kissed the top of her wife’s head. “Not as much as I love you Rach. You saved Lily and I from a life I didn’t want for either of us. If you didn’t come into my life, I would still be stuck at home with my father, and who knows what would’ve happened to Lils.”
Rachel just stared at their baby for a moment with tears in her eyes. “So gorgeous.” She whispered and kissed the top of his head. “We need to name him.” She mumbled before being told she had to push again. With one hand holding onto Quinn’s and the other making sure their youngest son was safe she pushed with everything she had. After another two pushes their youngest child was born. “It’s a girl.” The doctor announced as the tiny baby was placed on her chest as she cried. “Quinn.. they’re.. perfect.” She whispered.
Quinn smiled at their perfect new additions to their family. “They truly are.” She replied to her wife. She was so happy that Rachel was strong and brave enough to have the babies naturally even though she was told she couldn’t be. “However I think they are the last babies we will have for a long time.” She said with a laugh. They now would have a houseful of kids, something Quinn always wanted growing up. She just never knew that she would actually be madly in love with the person she had them with.
Rachel was in tears from the intensity of the pain and how much it was beginning to hurt her pelvis. “Mommy’s okay, Lils.” Rachel whispered once they were all in the car and on the way to the hospital. Looking over at their eldest daughter she knew that they were so lucky to have such amazing babies in their lives.
When they got there she was immediately given an epidural and set up in a room where she held Quinn’s hand as though her life depended on it. After first push she was in tears from the pain even though she knew the drugs were working but it was a lot harder for her this time. The doctor and the nurse both exchanged a look before nodding and upping her pain relief. “One more push and we should have the first baby out. If not we’re going to go into surgery.” He said seeing as her heart rate was elevated and her blood pressure was dropping a little. Before too long she was pushing again and a loud pain filled scream fell from her lips and the first baby was out, crying and being laid on her chest. “Hi cutie.” She whispered.
Quinn held Rachel’s hand the whole time, and when she saw the first baby was out she smiled. “You’re doing wonderful love. Just one more baby.” She was happy that these babies would have both of their characteristics since it was both of their babies biologically. So far the first one out was adorable, and she couldn’t wait until she was able to see the other one out, then their little family would complete. At least for now.
Quinn quickly got all the babies into the car, and she put in the two new car seats she got for the twins. She then rushed upstairs to her and Rachel’s room, and picked up her pregnant wife not wanting her to walk. “I’ll get you to the hospital soon love.” She told her wife. “Mommy what’s wrong with mommy?” Lily asked Quinn. “Mommy is about to give birth to you new siblings.” She told Lily. It was still weird to Quinn to hear Lily speak since her daughter was growing up so quickly.
Once they got to the hospital the nurses helped take the kids to the kids section of the hospital as Quinn held Rachel’s hand as the nurse was wheeling her to the emergency room. “Does she need a C-section?” The nurse asked Quinn. Quinn knew she should say yes, but she said, “No.” because of her wife’s request to have a natural birth. Quinn whispered little nothings to Rachel as the doctor told her to push.
Quinn… just.. hospital.. need.. help.
Right, right. I’ll get the babies, and help you to the car.
Our doctor had me scheduled in for a c-section because of my stupid pelvis.. but I.. I want to do this naturally..please?
