Learning can be fun. At Cadaniño we give students a space where they feel safe, secure, and loved. We create an environment that empowers students to discover their God-given gifts and abilities and use them to their greatest potential in a way that glorifies God.
Vulnerable children can truly relate to the story of Joseph. Loss, pain, suffering, betrayal, and hardship are all things they face in their lives. Seeing how God used everything he went through, to bring good, not just in his life, but in everyone around him, is vital for them to learn.
It's so exciting to see at all that God has accomplished through Cadaniño so far this year. Read on to find out how lives are being changed for eternity!
Ministry to the mothers of our students, encouraging them, serving them, ministering to them, and celebrating the job they do each and every day, is central to the mission of Cadaniño.
Understanding why we are here, not just to teach and train kids today, but to guide them to a relationship with their Heavenly Father for eternity, is vital when working in difficult places where life can be cut short tomorrow.
The impact Cadañino has, both in the lives of those we serve, and in the lives of our teachers, is nothing short of incredible.
It's amazing how Cadañino is a source of comfort and encouragement to our students during the incredible challenges they face.
Working with vulnerable children presents so many challenges. Often their journey is one of starts and stops, zig-zagging up and down, as we work with them to keep moving forward.

Despite Covid-19, quarantines, curfews and lockdown's, there are many things for which I'm thankful for in 2020.
Sometimes I’m amazed by the things that amaze children. Last week we took a trip to the zoo. We brought the children who attend classes at our Community Center in Colonia Santa Fe, one of the dangerous “red zones” of Guatemala City.

This historic monument is 1.4 miles up the Russell Tutt Scenic Highway from the Zoo entrance. Built by Spencer Penrose between 1934 and 1937, it stands dedicated to Will Rogers, who died in a plane crash in 1935. The elevation of the Will Rogers Shrine is 8,136 feet on the top deck and provides breathtaking views of Colorado Springs, the Pikes Peak Region and Eastern Plains. Learn more
NOTE: On Monday, September 5, 2022, the Shrine will be closed for the Labor Day holiday.

– Your Zoo admission includes a drive to the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun for that day, whether you choose to visit the Zoo or not.
– You must have paid Zoo admission for each person in the car. Advance e-tickets are required.
– Go to cmzoo.org/visit for etickets and details.
Will Rogers Shrine is uniquely situated on the side of Cheyenne Mountain. Visitors should prepare for unpredictable weather conditions and bring their own water. The Shrine’s interior rooms, the chapel and restrooms are only accessible by stairs. The walk from the parking lot to the Shrine is approximately 50 yards uphill.
The Shrine is closed on most holidays, except for a two during the summer, see below.

– The Shrine is owned and operated by El Pomar Foundation , and may have different hours of operation than the Zoo.
– The Shrine is subject to closure due to inclement weather and/or adverse road conditions without prior notice, and due to special events. Please call ahead to confirm.
– El Pomar Foundation does not allow professional or amateur photography on any historic properties, including Will Rogers Shrine.
– Anytime the Zoo closes early, the last car up to the Shrine will be one hour prior to the Zoo’s closing time (the same time as our last Zoo admission).
