The first and most important thing I learned from CELTA is to always try to be perfect😁. Even if my lessons are not perfect, I should still aim to conduct them in the best way I can.
The second thing I learned is sincerity. Teaching is not about money, fame, or reputation. It is about teaching with heart. My students come to class to learn and improve themselves, so I must make sure they always leave with something useful.
At first, I thought CELTA would be very hard because it costs a lot and I imagined I would spend half of my day planning. But in reality, I enjoyed the process. Choosing topics was difficult at the beginning, but after I learned how to do it, lesson planning became smooth. The most surprising moment was when I finished my lesson exactly on time. This showed me how important preparation and time management are.🥹
I also learned from observing my groupmates. For example, I started with hesitation and negative thoughts, while Parizoda looked confident. This taught me that the more you practice, the more confident and perfect you become😘.
The first week was really enjoyabl♥️e. One of my best memories was observing a listening activity. That moment felt rewarding and made me realize why teaching is so meaningful. For me, teaching is not about material things it is about helping students and developing myself as a teacher.
