For the first time in over 10 years, the iconic Minecraft (opens in a new tab) default skin/character Steve has a beard again in the latest update to Minecraft's upcoming version. The skins for both the default Steve and Alex characters in the beta launcher now have a couple small tweaks to the texture that make a huge difference.

Steve is now sporting the iconic beard. The sleeves are rolled up or cuffed sleeves and more definition of color in key areas like the arms and chest. Perhaps they've just shined the shoes. It's difficult to determine because of all that dust.

Alex wears the same sleeves on her sleeve as Alex but with more vibrant colors on their clothing. Gaming There's a distinct thickness and layering of Alex's hair.

Everyone has been affected by the long-running global pandemic. A lot of people thought that this was a key moment to grow a beard, since they weren't going out or doing anything, including, it seems, Minecraft Steve. Is it a canon? Absolutely not! isn't. I invented it.

Steve's beard disappeared for the first time in 2009, 13 years ago, which was long before Alex even appeared on the scene. Despite this the beard was visible in official artwork. Even the show up when they inserted Steve into Super Smash Brothers.
