YouTube and Minecraft legend Stampy Cat will deliver a lecture to 2,000 Dundee schoolchildren.
Stampy who's real name was Joseph Garrett, will deliver the Royal Society of Edinburgh's Christmas lecture in Caird Hall on Monday.
The creator of the "Let's Play" videos for Minecraft and other games has more than 6.7m subscribers on his YouTube channel.
The lecture will be broadcast exclusively on BBC iPlayer next Thursday.
BBC Scotland reported that Minecraft fans will have the opportunity to watch Stampy demonstrate how he creates his videos during a discussion with Chris van der Kuyl, Dundee games entrepreneur.
Stampy will talk through the process of making his Christmas special while giving the audience an insight into his life and career that has seen him become one of the world's most popular YouTubers.
Van der Kuyl said that Stampy was the "epitome digital native of the 21st century" who could inspire audiences regardless of age.
"Stampy is an inspirational persona for a whole new generation of people who can clearly see that the future of careers will be based on a unique mix of talent, creativity and technical abilities that can all be mastered," he said.
The RSE lecture will be screened as part of the BBC Make it Digital initiative to promote digital creativity among young people.
