What's going on lately? (I quit modding)
Rough Mobs Revamped by p1ut0nium_94 has been released! I highly recommend to use his version because this version of the mod will no longer be updated.
This mod is a complete rewrite of the original Rough Mobs mod and should fix many bugs and performance issues (Full changelog: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/rough-mobs-2/pages/rough-mobs-1-vs-rough-mobs-2 ).
Rough Mobs 2 is a simple mod which makes some vanilla mobs significantly harder. The mod runs completely on the server side and doesn't have to be installed on each client (It also works in singleplayer of course).
This mod is also pretty well configurable! You can change/disable every feature in your config file.
Many mobs now also have an increased follow range!
Health, speed, knockback resistance, attack damage and other attribute modifiers can easily be changed or added in the config file individually for every entity.
Spawn entries can also be changed or added through the config file.
2.0.10+ : Certain mobs no longer target other mobs if they accidentally get attacked by them (mobs are configurable).
2.0.12+ : This feature is disabled by default since it caused bugs with other mods.
If you have some performance issues I suggest removing all generic.followRange lines in your attributes section. Additional Follow Range seems to cause some lag.

Is this compatible with zombie awareness?
Best way to find out is try. Really want a tough fight add scaling health, improved mobs, mob sun screen, this mod but the revamp and zombie awareness. They all work great togther and make some epic monsters
I didn't suppose that you do release this mod as open source. Thank to it this mod have a chance to "live" longer and for furthers versions of MC. Thank You very much! :)
Is there a quicker way to enable zombies to break all blocks?
Tried using RM2 in 2 modpacks and it is constantly crashing the server, but works perfectly on singleplayer https://pastebin.com/4QPJWmM9

For some reason, mobs are spawning with items like this equipped on them. This could be one of my other mods causing this bug, but I thought it might be worth pointing out. I had to just disable all enchantments on the mobs to fix the problem.

Great mod! I suggest update this to MC 1.14.4.
Bosses in the mod dont use the armor from their own config. They use the armor from regular mobs. (zombie bosses are using regular zombie armor and not the powerful armor the mod says they should use) How do I fix this?
Version 2.0.12 doesn't have that bug. Just use that one.
this mod seems to be missing a config option to turn off fast creepers, and creepers are faster even when creeper changes are set to 'false' at the top.
Its not specific to changing speed or health, but those are different options. The settings you are changing when setting to false are the abilities.
Go to the top, where it says attributes. Its the very first config you can change. Look at the bottom of this section, just before the line of hashtags. the 3rd line from the bottom shows creeper speed. change this to : 1;0.0
In the config is it possible to extent other catergories? Like for example could I say, copy the entire zombie category and paste it again, then replace the mobs specifically marked such as zombies and husk and add wither skeleton to the list. Then I'd have 2 configs setup, one for zombies, husk etc. the other new one for wither skeletons. This way I can modify wither skeleton's gear, etc. without modifying the other zombies in the older category. Hopefully that made sense.
How to I configure the mod to make it use armor from other mods? I figured it out before a couple months ago, but got a new pc and lost my data. I dont remember how I did it. Any tips?
Edit: Im dumb ignore me. I kept thinking the higher numbers were more common when I was really making them 1/5000 chances. Lol.

Maybe in Rough Mobs 2 in the future.
For this remove all lines in the offhand weapons option from Skeleton. Also please update to Rough Mobs 2 if you use 1.12.

I'm using Rough Mobs 2 actually, I don't know why I posted that here
It should be inside your .minecraft/config folder (roughmobs.cfg)
You can disable them via your roughmobs.cfg under skeleton and zombie settings.

Rough Mobs is a small mod which makes some mobs significantly harder.
This mod is pretty well configurable! You can change/disable every feature in your config file.
The mod can also be used server-side only but it is not recommended because some features will be a bit buggy.
Also, many mobs have now an increased follow range!
This mod also allows you to add/remove your own attributes to entities on spawn. You can increase: max HP, speed, knockback resistance, attack damage and follow range.

The mod also allows you to create custom entity spawn entrys. More informations can be found in the config file. You can also lower entity spawn rates in the config file.
Mobs no longer attack each other. This was often caused by Skeleton which tried to shoot the player but accidentally hit another mob. Mobs now always search for players around them before they attack. You can add/remove Entities for this feature in the config file.
(1.0.9+) You can now change aggresive mobs to behave aggresive against animals and villagers (Not enabled by default)

I'd like to leave a quick PSA. DO NOT USE THIS VERSION. Use the new one. THe mod author fixed performance and there are even more options in Config. USE THE NEW ONE.

How do I disable the extra weapons to skeletons? I disabled in the config file 'switching their weapons' but they spawn with two weapons anyway...

Is there a way to turn of the zombie and skeleton horse spawning. Because they spawn in the world. Then just stay their and its bogs down memory.

I think it would be cool if there was a feature able to turn off this mod's spawning changes. As in, I use lycanite's mobs on my server and their spawning is very intuitive, it would be nice to just be able to buff mobs as desired. Glad to hear you're developing a 2.0, I really really like this mod!
Is there a counter to "enderman teleporting player" ? Like an enchantment or a potion effect ? Because if not, it makes enderman impossible to fight against.
