Minecraft: Pocket Edition is Officially "hotter than The Sun'

How popular is the mobile version of Minecraft? It's pretty dang popular according to Mojang's most recent blog post. According to the companywhich is, in fact was recently bought by Microsoft and Microsoft Minecraft: Pocket Edition is bigger than Texas and 23 times more hot than the Sun and "more than the entire observed universe." Mojang also has a 30-million statistic if you wish to see actual statistics. This is the number of times the pint-sized version has been purchased.

Minecraft: Pocket Edition was released long before the free-to play trend became a "thing". It's sold for US$6.99 on the iOS App Store and Google Play and hasn't had any price adjustments. This means that the game has brought in around $210 million in revenue. This is a lot of cheddar, and given its high App Store rank it's likely to continue to earn money for a long, lengthy time.
