Minecraft PS3 Update Adds Blocky Skins from Uncharted Heavy Rain, More

When the PlayStation Network is next updated gamers playing Minecraft on the PlayStation 3 will find two new skin packs for purchase. One of them features koalas and cavemen and the other one focuses on the most famous faces of the PlayStation 3.

According to the PlayStation.blog blog, the Battle And Beasts skin pack allows players to dress up as cavemen, koala bears, an ocotopus, or even a very angular Cleopatra. Minecraft Servers The other pack, titled "Skin Pack 1" is aimed at "hardcore PlayStation fans" and features Minecraft versions of Uncharted leading character Nathan Drake, larcenous raccoon Sly Cooper, "folks from Heavy Rain" and "some Killzone dudes." We would love to know more about the characters who will represent Heavy Rain and Killzone. However, neither Minecraft creator Mojang nor Sony are able to provide more information.

Also missing from the announcement are the price points that will be associated with the two DLC skin packs, however the region of Sony gamers will be delighted to learn that Skin Pack 1 is exclusive to the PlayStation 3 incarnation of Minecraft. [Image: Mojang]
