Minecraft Maker's Newest Game Mixes Cliffs, Horses And Dogecoin

Markus "Notch" Persson is most well-known as the creator behind Minecraft However, he's rapidly making a name for himself with his quirky games that encompass everything from speed typing to existential drama. Minecraft-servers.Life Cliffhorse, his latest title is evidence enough. It's absurd and, as the title suggests, it's absurd. You're a horse that pushes a massive rock ball along cliffs. However, the bare-bones design (which took all of two hours to build) is the main reason. Persson explained the Windows-only game as a slam against developers who abuse early access programs. He charges money for "minimum work" releases which are, theoretically speaking, the most useful. And yes, he's aware of the irony given that he charged for Minecraft long before it was completed.

If the absurdity of the project wasn't evident, Notch is only accepting voluntary Dogecoin donations as payment; you can download Cliffhorse completely free of charge if you like. It's a good thing there's no profit-based model, as there aren't assurances of updates in the future. It's possible that you don't like Persson's parody enough to send him virtual money. The launch might be useful when developers can do a little more work before asking users to pay.
