In a blog post on Wednesday Mojang stated that NFTs aren't compatible with Minecraft's values , and therefore aren't allowed in the game.

"To ensure that Minecraft players have a safe and inclusive experience, blockchain technology is not permitted to be integrated into our Minecraft client and server applications nor may they be utilized to create NFTs associated with any game-related content," the company said.

Gaming is a controversial topic because NFTs are frequently criticised by gamers. They have resisted Ubisoft's efforts to integrate the technology into their games.

Microsoft acquired Minecraft in 2014 for $2.5 Billion. It is the most played game ever, with 238 million units sold. The game's success has been attributed to a commitment to accessibility and being family-friendly.
