Minecraft 1.17 Java Edition Download

Block of Amethyst

This block is created in caves, and more specifically in amethyst geodes. It is available in the form of a brick, which is not possible with budding amethyst. Another way to obtain an amethyst brick is to use 4 amethyst pieces. The block of amethyst belongs to the category of building blocks.

Budding Amethyst

It is a block made in amethyst gedes. Budding amethyst produces buds of various sizes. This block cannot be obtained by mining, even if one applies a tool enchanted with Silk Touch. Nothing can be taken out of a budding amethyst if it is broken. The budding amethyst is a member of the category of building bricks.

Amethyst Buds

These are tiny amethyst crystals which grow on budding amethyst block. They come in three sizes: small to medium and large. They will grow gradually, going from small to medium size and then to large. Eventually, after the appearance of a large bud on a budding amethyst block, it gradually grows into an amethyst cluster. An amethyst block can have a bud grow up or sideways. A tool enchanted using Silk Touch is required to obtain an amethyst flower bud. The amethyst buds belong to the category of decorative block.

Amethyst Cluster

This block is the last stage of large amethyst-bud's growth. Clusters emit light, unlike amethyst buds. An amethyst block can have a cluster grow up or sideways. An amethyst cluster can drop amethyst pieces when it is mined, which can be used to craft an amethyst brick. An intact amethyst Cluster will drop if you break it with a tool with Silk Touch enchantment.

Deepslate

This block was formed in deep caves. It features various textures and is used as an ordinary stone.

Calcite

It is a stone that has a pearly white texture. Calcite is a moderate layer of amethyst gedes.

Tuff

This stone has a dark grey texture and is produced in deep caves. This block can be found near amethyst geodes and can change the texture depending on the position. Tuff is a building block.

This ore is produced at the same level as iron and in similar quantities. When smelting, a copper ingot is obtained, from which some kinds of copper blocks are crafted.

Copper Blocks

One type is a copper block that can be crafted using 4 copper ingots. The block of Copper is used to make cut copper blocks that can be used to create stairs and slabs. Copper blocks are oxidized over time which alters their texture. This can be prevented by using a honeycomb to make a copper block.

Pointed Dripstone

It is created in caves. If there is no block above a dripstone located on the upper side of a block, then it is destroyed. However, if there is an animal or other living thing above it, it will be destroyed. The level of damage depends on the height and weight of the dripstone.

Dripstone Block

It is made from 4 pointed dripstones and was found in caves. Dripstone block can be used as a decorative element.

Powder Snow

A new type of snow with a similar texture. However, any creature can sink through this block. If you have leather shoes, your character will not sink through powder snow. But if you sit down and put your feet down, any character with leather shoes will sink through. Powder snow can also be collected using a bucket. If you remain in the powder snow for too long, the frost effect will appear on the screen and players or mobs will begin to take damage. Skeletons trapped in powder snow will eventually turn to strays.

Sculk Sensor

This block is only available in the creative mode. It is used for construction of certain mechanisms and as a block of redstone.

Tinted Glass

Glow Lichen

It can be found in many caves, but it rarely emits any light. Unlike vine, you cannot climb on glow lichen. You can obtain it with scissors.

Candle

A candle is crafted of honeycomb and a string. A candle must be lit with a flint-and-steel to get it to light. A candle can be repainted in any available color. You can set up to 4 candles in a single block, but they must be of the same color.

New Items

Amethyst Shard

It is extracted from amethyst clusters: when processing 1 cluster, one amethyst shard is dropped; to increase the number of shards, you will need a pickaxe with the fortune enchantment. It is used to make tinted and spyglass.

Spyglass

It is crafted from two copper ingots and one amethyst shard and used for zooming in on various objects at a long distance.

Bundle

It is made of two strings and six rabbit skins. It can be used as an extra source of item storage cells.

It behaves almost the same way as a regular squid, but glows. When dying, glow squid drop glowing ink sacs.

It can come in five colors: white, pink yellow, brown, brown, and blue. It is a passive organism that can only be caught with a bucket. Their main prey is squid. Axolotl can be bred by feeding them tropical fish.

Amethyst Geode

It is a small structure that can be found deep within caves. The shape is similar in appearance to a circle. It is made of amethyst blocks that are both regular and budding.

Deep Cave

It is a huge underground cave made of deepslate basalt and tuff. You may also find some ores.

Ore Improvements

The appearance of all ores has changed. The new types are ores that contain deepslate and not cobblestone. They can also be found in caves with deepslate. There are five kinds of deep ore: redstone (iron), gold (lapis lazuli), redstone (redstone), and diamond. When smelting, you will get ordinary ingots.
