Minecraft 1.16 Release Candidate

Minecraft 1.16 Release Candidate

In with the past and into the future! Today, we're introducing a new naming convention (well, it's been a while since we've introduced it) for Minecraft Java Edition. The last pre-release was in fact the release candidate however, we're making that more evident by changing the name to be "release candidate". This means that, in the event that there aren't any major issues after this release, no further modifications will be made prior to the release.

The full release is coming soon In case you've been living under a rock (it's Minecraft, so that's OK) We'll be making available the Nether Update on Tuesday, June 23. Next week!
