When “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Benzino was shot during his mother’s funeral processional by his nephew—how’s that for family dysfunction?— fans of the show were convinced that would be the most controversial story arc of the upcoming season.
Mimi Faust , the long suffering ex-girlfriend of producer Stevie J ., and her fiance Nikko Smith are releasing a sex tape via Vivid Entertainment and the super trailer went super viral within hours.
Former “LHHATL” co-star K. Michelle had a “good laugh” about the tape, posting the following video to Instagram:
Faust’s nemesis, Stevie J’s wife Joseline Hernandez , also mocked the tape on Twitter, calling it “Granny Porn.”
Faust responded to the controversy by posting the contact information for her publicist with a big “thank you” to everyone for the attention.

Through all of the judgement, and there has been a lot, there are voices pointing out the double standard that becomes evident when a Black woman releases a sex tape versus when a White woman does the exact same thing.
We’re talking about you Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Pamela Anderson, et al.
Faust is an adult and if she wants to film herself having sex with her significant other, that’s really her business—and the business of whoever chooses to watch it.
In the meantime, there’s a certain shower rod scene that’s getting the most attention.

In an effort to boost ratings for their VH1 reality show, Mimi Faust and her partner, Nikko Smith, OK the release of a steamy sex tape.
The man behind this little gem of a video knows a thing or two about garnering attention by showing a little skin. Vivid Entertainment big cheese, Steve Hirsch, confirmed with TMZ that he stumbled upon the tape starring Faust and Smith and then contacted them for their blessing to make the tape public. Hirsch also claims the duo was more than willing to sign off on the footage, most likely in an effort to get a larger audience for the next season of their show.
So far, the publicity stunt seems to be working. Twitter is already aflutter with news of the tape and has even given birth to a new hashtag: #MimisShowerRodStrongerThan. We’ll let you draw your own conclusions.
While Faust and Smith may be getting the attention they were seeking, it’s possible they’re entering a new realm of celebrity by showing a different side of themselves. Just ask Farrah Abraham, who originally claimed her sex tape was a “celebration” of her body, but then later claimed the film going public ruined her life .
Let’s just hope the duo isn’t trying to cash in on their love, because there’s a large chance it won’t pay off. Paris Hilton claims she never saw a penny after the release of her video, despite the tape’s booming popularity.
Faust and Smith’s tape is titled Mimi and Nikko: Scandal in Atlanta, and it’s scheduled for release next month.

(AllHipHop News) For Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian, releasing sex tapes eventually led to reality show stardom. It appears Mimi Faust is taking the reverse route.
Reportedly, video of the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star and boyfriend Nikko Smith engaging in sex acts is about to hit the streets.
According to TMZ , Faust and Smith agreed to let Vivid Entertainment release the video, and producers of LHHATL okayed the tape for mass production as well.
Faust is the ex-girlfriend of music producer Stevie J who also had his own sex tape scandal. An intimate video of Stevie J and rapper Eve leaked in 2000.
Mimi & Nikko: Scandal in Atlanta is apparently scheduled for release in May. Season 3 of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta is set to debut that same month on VH1.
