Forty-two-year-old Dawn Northey, who is from the West Midlands in the U.K, is madly in love with her twenty-year-old boyfriend, Takhari Aldridge.
However, a high percentage of people feel that Dawn and Takhari's relationship is absolutely fine due to them both being "consenting adults."
Now, Dawn first met Takhari back in 2017 through her eighteen-year-old son, Callum.
Callum and Takhari met online after gaming together, and when they eventually met in 2017, Dawn first laid eyes on the then-eighteen-year-old Takhari. "When I first met Takhari, I couldn't believe I found an eighteen-year-old attractive," she said in an interview with LadBible.
The pair first came face-to-face when Dawn, who was then married, drove her son 300 miles to meet Takhari at his family home.
"As we pulled up to the house, I saw Takhari standing in the driveway. He was tall, dark, and handsome. I went inside and chatted with Takhari's mum while the boys played video games upstairs."
Shortly after their first meet, Dawn's marriage came to an end...
And in January 2018 when they officially split, Takhari started to come and visit Dawn's family home. "When Takhari came to visit, I was excited to see him. I kept stealing glances at him around the house. Every day I had to tell myself I was too old for him and to stop being daft. I thought it was just a silly crush!" Dawn said, "As we chatted away about our lives, I had no idea how mature he was."
Their first intimate encounter happened when Dawn offered to drive him back home as just the 2 of them.
"When we arrived, Takhari suddenly leaned in and kissed me in the car. I couldn't believe it. I had no idea he fancied me too. I was over the moon!" she said.
However, after Dawn and Takhari went public with their relationship...
It didn't take long for the judgment and scrutiny to begin. "Whenever I held Takhari's hand in public, strangers gave me dirty looks," Dawn sadly explained, "Even someone from my family accused me of grooming Takhari and threatened to call the police. We were both horrified."
But despite the lack of understanding and their twenty-two-year age gap...
Dawn and Takhari are happier than ever. "Takhari has given me a new lease of life. He and Callum are still best friends and it hasn't affected their friendship. Addison [her daughter] even calls Takhari Dad now, it's adorable."
