Mike Tirico to Host Paris Olympics Coverage

MIKE TIRICO TO HOST PRIMETIME OLYMPICS COVERAGE FOR NBC IN 2024 PARIS GAMES

Los Angeles, CA – May 4, 2025 – NBC Sports has announced that veteran broadcaster Mike Tirico will lead the network’s primetime coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics, marking his fourth consecutive Olympics as the main studio host.

Tirico, who has been the face of NBC’s Olympic coverage since taking over for Bob Costas in 2018, will helm the nightly highlights, interviews, and analysis from a studio set along the Seine River in Paris. The 57-year-old play-by-play legend will also call select events, including track and field and opening and closing ceremonies.

'Mike’s versatility, depth of knowledge, and ability to connect with viewers make him the perfect guide for our Olympic coverage,' said Molly Solomon, Executive Producer and President of NBC Olympics Production. 'His passion for the Games and storytelling elevates every broadcast.'

Tirico, who also serves as the lead play-by-play announcer for Sunday Night Football, has become one of the most recognizable voices in sports media. His role in Paris will further cement his legacy as one of the industry’s most trusted hosts.

The 2024 Paris Olympics begin July 26, with NBCUniversal providing over 7,000 hours of coverage across NBC, Peacock, and its cable networks.
