Mike Tirico to Host Prime Coverage of 2024 Paris Olympics for NBC

LOS ANGELES – NBC Sports’ lead host Mike Tirico is set to helm the network’s coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics, marking his third consecutive Summer Games in the anchor chair. The veteran broadcaster, known for his versatility and smooth delivery, will guide viewers through marquee events as Team USA competes on the global stage.

Tirico, who joined NBC in 2016 after a long tenure at ESPN, has become a cornerstone of the network’s sports coverage. In addition to the Olympics, he serves as the play-by-play voice for Sunday Night Football and hosts major events like the Kentucky Derby and the Super Bowl.

A Storied Career
Since taking over as NBC’s primary Olympics host from Bob Costas in 2018, Tirico has earned praise for his encyclopedic knowledge and ability to seamlessly transition between sports. His role in Paris will include anchoring primetime coverage, conducting high-profile interviews, and providing context on key storylines—from Simone Biles’ return to gymnastics to the debut of breakdancing as an Olympic sport.
