Miesha Tate is one of the biggest names in the women’s division of the UFC, next perhaps only to Ronda Rousey. She holds an impressive 17-5 record for her career, and she is currently ranked as the #2 contender in the bantamweight division. She began as a wrestler in Tacoma, Washington, at Franklin Pierce High School, where she was the state champ in 2005. From there, she took up MMA and studied Brazilian jiu-jitsu, using the grappling skills that she had learned from wrestling. She started fighting professionally in 2007 and had her first Strikeforce fight in 2008, a win by unanimous decision over Elaina Maxwell. After earning a reputation as a skilled fighter, with a particularly good ground-based game, she made her way into the UFC. She lost her first fight to Cat Zingano, but it was enough to earn her a spot in UFC 168 against Rousey. Tate’s next fight will be against Holly Holm, who is coming off a big upset win over the previously undefeated Rousey. Holm, a former champion boxer, should prove a challenging opponent for Tate, who prefers to do her fighting on the mat.
But it’s not just Tate’s fighting abilities that have caught the attention of mixed martial arts fans; it’s also her good looks. She has shown off her incredible body in a number of magazines, including ESPN , FIGHT! , and Fitness Gurls . Her combination of skill and beauty has helped make her one of the biggest pulls in the UFC.
Here are the top 15 hottest pictures of Miesha Tate, although you really can’t go wrong with any picture of her. Not everyone can be as photogenic after they’ve just had their face bashed in, but somehow she manages to make it work. It also probably helps that she’s usually doing most of the face bashing.
You’ve got to love a good female UFC weigh-in, especially when the fighters are as hot as Tate. In order to make weight, fighters strip down to next to nothing. At this particular weigh-in, for her September 2014 fight against Rin Nakai, which she won via unanimous decision, Tate opted for pink bikini bottoms and a colorful top, while she flexed her muscles for the crowd. Not only did she intimidate her opponent, but she also won over a lot of men in the crowd.
Tate doesn’t mind showing off her body in public, as evidenced by this photo of her in a "barely there" bikini at the 2014 UFC Pool Party in Las Vegas. If you didn’t know any better, you might think that she was a model hired for the party. Also at the party were octagon girls Arianny Celeste, Brittney Palmer, and Rachelle Leah, all wearing revealing bikinis while sitting out in the sun. What we want to know is: What do you have to do to get invited to a party like that?
It’s pretty obvious why this picture made the list. Wearing a red jacket, black shoes, and little else, it shows off Tate’s best feature: her backside. This picture was taken back in 2009 for FIGHT! Magazine , well before Tate had made a name for herself in the UFC. In fact, it was her very first magazine photo shoot. Around the time that this photo was taken, Tate lost her first big fight to Sarah Kaufman by unanimous decision, but she would go on to win her next six fights.
This is another one from her 2009 photo shoot with Fight Magazine . She traded in her gloves and sportswear for some sexy heels, a ridiculously short skirt, and a black bra. Sorry to break it to you men who aren’t fighters, but in the article she said, “I don’t see myself dating someone who’s not a fighter. Staying true to her word, Tate has been dating Bryan Caraway, who’s ranked 6 th in the UFC bantamweight division, for years, and they’ve been referred to as “the first couple of the UFC.” When they first started seeing each other, Caraway made Tate choose between him and mixed martial arts. Needless to say, she didn’t give up fighting, and Caraway eventually realized that she was committed to the sport, so the two continued their relationship.
This one proves that Tate doesn’t just look good with her clothes off; she also looks amazing in a dress. The sexiest thing about her is that one minute she’s knocking people out in the octagon, and the next minute she’s knocking people out on the red carpet (figuratively, of course). This picture was taken on the red carpet at the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2014 Party. Tate was named 58 th hottest woman of the year, one ahead of octagon girl Arianny Celeste, and just shy of Ronda Rousey. Beating out all of them, though, was fellow fighter Gina Carano.
Judging by all the photos of her in bikinis with a drink in hand by the pool, Tate appears to be a bit of a party animal. This one comes from another pool party in Las Vegas, at the Sapphire Pool and Day Club, and this time she opted for a hot pink bikini with white glasses. Her abs and other assets were on full display, proving yet again that she’s one of the most beautiful women in the sport. If fighting doesn’t work out for her, she could always make a living hosting pool parties...again, what's a guy have to do to get an invite?
Another weigh-in photo. This time it’s from her second fight against Ronda Rousey. Not only are Rousey and Tate two of the best fighters in the UFC, but they’re also two of the best looking fighters. Wearing blue shorts and a sports bra, Tate can be seen smiling (oh, how we came to love that smirk on The Ultimate Fighter) in the face of Rousey, who looks as though she’s about to punch a hole through Tate. Unfortunately, Tate wouldn’t look so confident after the fight, as Rousey defeated her by armbar less than a minute into the third round.
In recent years, the public perception of feminine beauty has changed. It used to be that you had to be unnaturally skinny in order to be considered hot, but now women of all shapes and sizes, including muscular, are being embraced. Just look at the recent covers of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition , which featured Ashley Graham, a plus-sized model, and Ronda Rousey, who’s certainly more muscular than the average swimsuit model. This photo of Tate posing in a bikini, showing off her abs and strong legs, is further proof that muscular women can be beautiful. We’re all for strong women, especially if they look like this.
This one comes from the weigh-in of Tate’s first fight with Rousey, which she lost near the end of the first round. She wore only white shorts and a white bra, giving her a sort of angelic look. She was in great shape for the fight too, with bulging biceps and ripped abs. But it wouldn’t be enough to stave off the armbar from Rousey. At this weigh-in, it was almost hard to tell who were the fighters and who were the octagon girls.
Thanks to photos like this one, Tate has amassed well over a million followers on social media, most of which, it’s probably fair to assume, are male admirers. In this selfie, Tate shows that a full, strong female figure can be just as sexy—if not more so—than a slim one. At roughly 135 lbs., most of which is pure muscle, she’s living proof that strong is sexy.
Of course, we had to include a photo of Tate in action. Here she is wearing her trademark pigtails and pink sports bra (and she looks like she's up to something). What makes her especially appealing is the fact that, on top of being beautiful and feminine, you know that she could still kick your butt. It’s not an easy thing to look good while in a fight, but someone how Tate manages to pull it off. I guess that explains her paradoxical nicknames: Cupcake and Takedown.
Here’s Tate posing for a photo in her gloves, looking tough and beautiful at the same time. There’s really not much more we can say about this picture aside from the fact that she looks hot in it, so here’s a random fun fact about Tate: Back in 2014, she helped save her boyfriend’s (UFC fighter Bryan Caraway) mother’s life. During a scuba diving outing, Caraway’s mother, Chris, had an asthma attack while underwater. After the guides were unable to help, Tate stepped in to save the day. According to her boyfriend, his mother, who is asthmatic, was unresponsive to her inhaler, so Miesha used it on herself, taking several puffs, before giving his mother mouth-to-mouth and ultimately saving her life. So there you have it—she’s gorgeous and heroic.
This one comes from Tate’s 2013 photo shoot with ESPN for their special Body Issue . Wearing nothing aside from pink gloves, Tate can be seen jumping through the air on a beach. It shows off her impressive muscular physique, with her shapely behind on full display. Also posing in her birthday suit for the 2013 ESPN: The Body Issue was UFC rival Ronda Rousey. The two have fought twice, with Rousey winning both times by way of armbar. But if you ask us, Tate wins when it comes to physique.

After earlier wardrobe malfunction, Miesha Tate 'doubled-up' on Reebok sports bra

When Miesha Tate heard about a wardrobe malfunction earlier in the night at UFC on FOX 16, she decided to take a safety precaution.
At this past Saturday’s event in Chicago, Elizabeth Phillips (5-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) picked up a victory over fellow bantamweight Jessamyn Duke (3-3 MMA, 1-3 UFC). However, social media was quickly flush with screen grabs and video clips after Phillips’ breast was briefly exposed during a scramble.
Prior to the night’s co-headliner, in which Tate (17-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC) picked up an impressive decision victory over fellow contender Jessica Eye (11-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC), “Cupcake” heard the buzz.
“I doubled-up after I saw that,” Tate said during a recent in-studio MMAjunkie Radio appearance. “I didn’t see it, but I heard about it. I was like, ‘I’m putting on another sports bra, and I don’t care.’ It was a Reebok (sports bra), but it wasn’t part of the uniform.
“I was like, ‘I don’t care. I’m putting it on. You can’t make me go out there after seeing that fight – with just one (sports bra) on.’ I doubled up.”
The sports bras are produced by Reebok, which recently signed a multi-year deal with the UFC to be its fight-night uniform (“kit”) provider. They’re, of course, designed to provide a uniform and consistent look across all the organization’s weight classes, but Tate said some extra care needs to be taken with the female divisions.
“There’s definitely some input (I’ll share),” she said. “We need a thicker band around the base (of the bra), to kind of make sure it stays down. It’s just kind of (too) soft. … You don’t want to have to worry about that kind of stuff in the middle of a fight.”
Reebok officials weren’t available to comment on any potential changes to the sports bras.
“My heart goes out to Elizabeth,” Tate said. “I feel so bad for her. I mean, she was just completely exposed. … It was all over the Internet. There are pictures of it all over.
“I suggest to anyone who’s posted that picture and put it up, either take it down or blur it out. Have some humanity. The poor girl, she didn’t choose (to do) that, to fight in that. It’s not her fault. Have some decency and respect the poor girl.”

What a difference a year makes. Just 12 months after criticizing
rival UFC women's bantamweight Ronda Rousey of posing nude in ESPN
The Magazine's
2012 "Body Issue" , Miesha Tate has wound up in
the pages of its 2013 issue.
Released this week to the
NY Daily News , the photo features Tate
frolicking nude on a Malibu beach, wearing the same pink hand
wrappings Rousey wore on the 2012 cover. The move makes
considerable promotional sense, but remains puzzling after her
pointed remarks on Twitter last July:

@kaienshiba I dont
think any straight man looks at a woman nude or "artistically" nude
any different
Tate had taken issue with Rousey's harsh
commentary on Ring Girls appearing in
Playboy.

@BillCollektr :
@RondaRousey would
you ever pose for Maxim or mags like that?" maxim, sure, playboy,
no.
Fast forward to 2013 and Tate spins things differently.
“One of the of the biggest common misperceptions about
women’s mixed martial arts is that we’re not
feminine,” she said in the NY Daily News. “So for me
it’s important to show that women in this sport are
comfortable about their bodies, that we’re pretty and carry
ourselves as women — and we can also turn it up a notch in
the cage.”

Lucky for UFC fans, we'll be seeing much more of Tate and
Rousey's combativeness starting on September 4 with the new season
of
The
Ultimate Fighter on
FOX
Sports 1 , then at
UFC 168 where they serve as headliners on
December 28 in Las Vegas.
