Mid/Senior Python Engineer

Remote | Full-time | 15-25$ hour

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our engineering team covering multiple projects including our Data Pipeline and Third-Party Integrations. You should have excellent programming skills and a passion for developing applications or improving existing ones. Emphasis is on secure and robust API-based systems in a financial technology context.

Skills:

- Python

- pandas/numpy/scipy

- REST Framework

- SQL

- Java or other “industrial-strength” language is a plus.

# Responsibilities

- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging

- Manage and architect our data pipeline, a crucial part of our business. Pipeline should be secure, robust and efficiently process terabytes of raw data.

- Integrate 3rd party APIs into our system

- Automate internal processes with Python.

- Assist in the development of our quantitative models.

- Develop APIs to modern RESTful specifications

- Troubleshoot and debug applications

- Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic

- Gather and address technical and design requirements

- Build reusable code and libraries for future use

- Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features

- Follow emerging technologies.

- Quantitative and numeric background is a plus.

# Qualifications

- Proven work experience as a Python developer and architect, especially in the development of complex systems and not just “one-off” scripts.

- Experience in financial technologies

- Familiarity with front-end languages and technologies

- Excellent analytical and time management skills

- Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude

- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or relevant field
