Micro-macro homogenization of mechanical parameters of porous material VAMOR DC5

In Le Man University the research will be hosted by the Laboratoire d’Acoustique de l’Université du Mans (LAUM), which is a Joint Research Unit of Le Mans University and CNRS (UMR 6613). The research carried out at LAUM concerns acoustics. Investigations at LAUM mainly focus on acoustic sources and sensors, wave propagation in fluids (at rest or in flow), wave propagation in solids (porous, granular or composite materials) and vibrating structures. The main objective is to understand the physical phenomena through both analytical developments and experimental studies associated with numerical simulations. LAUM counts around 150 academic and non-academic personnel.

In KUL the research will be hosted by the Mecha(tro)nic System Dynamics division (LMSD), which currently counts >100 researchers and is part of the department of mechanical engineering of KU Leuven. More information on the research group can be found on the website:
