He was supposed to appear on the early morning show to discuss his latest project Night Walk.
And Mickey Rourke left viewers feeling 'awkward' and 'cringed out' following his appearance on Good Morning Britain on Monday.
The actor, 65, who struggled to answer questions asked by hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, baffled fans when he was asked to talk about his upcoming movie.

Puzzled as to which project they wanted to discuss, the confused actor asked: 'What film?'
He then briefly opened up on the movie, in which he plays a Nazi loving white supremacist, as he told: 'I t was really nice to work with as it was a first time director who wasn’t scared of working with me he was excited.
'It was a really good experience, I went out and spoke to some people about white supremacists.'
Elsewhere, in the interview, that had to be cut short as a result of the star going off on a tangent, Piers attempted to delve into the actors thoughts on returning to the limelight for his appearance in the 2008 film The Wrestler.

In Mickey's latest movie, the star plays a member of the Aryan Brotherhood, a notorious Neo-Nazi prison gang, which is set to be released later in 2019.
In the film Rourke tries to recruit Sean Stone, who plays main character Frank, into the Aryan Brotherhood after he's wrongfully imprisoned by corrupt police for the murder of his Arab wife.

Written and directed by Aziz Tazi the independent movie also stars veteran actors Eric Roberts and Richard Tyson.
The movie, which wrapped filming in July 2018, was mostly shot in Morocco, North Africa, with some scenes shot in LA.
Rourke's acting career took off in the 1970s and 80s, a highlight being his smouldering 1986 star turn opposite Kim Basinger in 9 1/2 Weeks.
After a career lull he went on to earn an Oscar nomination for playing a grappler in The Wrestler, though the Academy Award wound up going to Sean Penn for Milk.
The grizzled star's amateur boxing career stretched from when he was 12 years old until his early 20s, during which time he racked up 27 wins and only three losses.
He has two ex-wives - model Carré Otis and actress Debra Feuer - and since 2009 has dated Russian model Anastassija Makarenko, who is over 30 years his junior.

Mickey met wild-child Vogue and Playboy model Carré Otis when they filmed 1989's Wild Orchid together.
Actor Mickey Rourke is a true Hollywood bad boy. And believe it or not, he's about to make a movie called Cursed with troubled Lindsay Lohan.
Mickey met wild-child Vogue and Playboy model Carré Otis when they filmed 1989's Wild Orchid together. It was lust at first sight. And that's usually a bad sign. And it was.
Rourke was a kind of sex symbol at the time, having made the super-steamy flick 91/2 Weeks with actress Kim Basinger in 1986. Wild Orchid was Otis' first film.
Rourke and Otis married in 1992 and divorced in 1998 amid claims of Rourke's abusive behavior.
Then in 2011, Otis fanned the flames of controversy when she published her memoir Beauty Disrupted, in which she claimed to have been raped by her modeling agent and abused by Mickey Rourke during their marriage.
Of course, Mickey called it BS. He claimed she made it up to up the sales of her memoir.
So what really went on between Carré Otis and Mickey Rourke? Let's have a look and see.
Rourke and Otis met on the set of the so-so 1989 movie Wild Orchid. It was supposed to be the steamy tale of a female lawyer in Rio de Janeiro. According to IMDb: " A female lawyer [Otis] becomes mesmerized by a self-made millionaire [Rourke] during an encounter in Rio setting off a series of erotic encounters." It was a kind of poor man's 9 1/2 Weeks and was pretty much of a flop. Otis was also in Rourke's 1996 film Exit in Red.
Wild Orchid may have been a pretty bad film, but it did serve to bring Carré Otis and Mickey Rourke together for some up close and personal time. Those filmed love scenes were for real!
According to Otis: "I think that that initial meeting was an immediate familiarity. It was sort of recognition of somebody who I knew there was an incredible charge with and energy between. So in a way it was that 'dangerous at first sight' ...and now I think, I know better -- those are the red flags."
Rourke and Otis also got steamy on the DL while the film was shooting and after years of dating were married in 1992. Apparently, Mickey Rourke threatened to kill himself if she didn't marry him. That should have told her something there and then. But she said yes.
They divorced in 1998. Rumors of abuse were already circulating in Hollywood. But when Otis published her memoir Beauty Disrupted in 2011 claims of Rourke's abuse went viral and fast.
To her credit, she tried to play down the Rourke abuse thing saying: "There was love and there was a lot of insanity . . ."
She insisted that claims of Rourke's abuse were taken out of context. And she wanted people to focus on her time as a supermodel that involved drugs, anorexia, and her alleged rape when she was only 17-years-old by her Elite Paris modeling agent Gérald Marie.
Yes, she admitted, Rourke had indeed been abusive throughout much of their relationship.
"There was abuse, and there was enough of abuse to call it abuse. My story is the same as so many women's stories ... what made it different for me was that I was married to a celebrity."
According to contactmusic.com, at one point, Rourke hid a .357 Magnum in her shoulder bag without telling her. He has a thing about guns. When she took the bag off and dropped it on a table. The gun went off, hitting Carré in the shoulder just inches away from her heart.
Mickey got very agitated. Why? Well, he was afraid that the press would hear of the accident.
"I panicked" Otis has said, "wondering which was more important: my life or covering up the fact that I'd been shot with Mickey Rourke's gun?" It was an accident, but Carré was stunned by Mickey's reaction.
So why did she stay in a dysfunctional marriage so long? She has claimed that she felt a sense of intense isolation during the relationship, coupled with the fact that she hero-worshipped Mickey. After all, she was only 21-years-old when they met on the set of Wild Orchid. She has said it was love at first sight for both of them. But it was a bad match.
Why? Otis has admitted: "We were both from really dysfunctional backgrounds and we both had the perfect ground to feed that dysfunction because we didn’t have tools and I was a kid! It was really hard to maintain perspective with so few tools and also I didn’t have a lot of people close in my life at that time."
After the divorce in 1998, Carré got her act together. She purposefully put on weight and has had a budding career as a plus-sized model. And in 2005 she married environmental scientist Matthew Sutton. The couple has two daughters. In her 52nd year, Carré is fit, healthy, and happy.
And Mickey? He was and is much in demand as an actor. He's even done a recent turn on The Masked Singer.
And at 68 Rourke is apparently all loved up with 30-something Russian model Anastassija Makerrenko.
