Don’t believe that Michelle Trachtenberg has left her kid-sister persona behind? Just check out the former ”Buffy” star’s bikini scene in Feb. 20’s goofy teen raunchfest ”Eurotrip” — there’s no way protective sibling Buffy would have let Dawn show that much skin. Later this year, she’ll further subvert her image in four episodes of HBO’s ”Six Feet Under,” playing a spoiled pop star who employs Keith (Mathew St. Patrick) as a bodyguard. Trachtenberg tells EW.com why she’s glad to have given up vampire-slaying for, of all things, ice-skating — and along the way, she makes us punch her in the stomach.
You look like you’re having a lot of fun in ”Eurotrip.” Really? We tried so hard to make a somber, very morbid film. [Laughs]
Was this one of those teen movies where the partying was even wilder off screen? I’m a homebody. My mom was there during production, which wouldn’t have stopped me from partying, but I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs, so I have fun in other ways. And we worked 18-hour days, so honestly all we ever wanted to do when we wrapped was sleep.
How did you feel about doing the big bikini scene? It was a little stressful. It was the first time that I’ve ever taken off that much clothing — on screen, I mean. But it was such a funny situation. The premise of the scene is that all these gawky, nasty old men have chased away all these hot, beautiful, European sexy women from the nude beach. And I flop up in this big, sloppy sweatshirt and take it off. I was only really disturbed by the 50 naked, disgusting, crusty, grody, naked guys in front of me. It was not normal nakedness.
Who did you base your ”Six Feet Under” pop star on? It’s a combination of everyone: Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez. It was a lot of fun. My character is promoting a new album so she goes on ”The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which is really cool. She’s also promoting a new movie — with Colin Farrell. She’s an actress, she’s a bitch, she’s a diva in training.
How was the return to TV? Well, honestly when I left ”Buffy,” I never thought I’d go back to TV, because I’ve done it. I’m not a person to repeat myself creativity-wise. And I found TV to be rather stifling, especially ”Buffy.” Three years as one character — where they’re not changing the character and your abilities aren’t being tested or challenged — gets very repetitive.
If they found a way to change Dawn, or make her grow, would you ever return to the character? Right now I’m focusing on my movie career. Movies are where I came from. I’m very happy Dawn was in my repertoire. Never say never, but that’s probably not a character I would revisit.
The other thing you’re working on is this Disney movie ”Ice Princess” — tell us about that. It’s about a girl whose dream is to be an ice skater, and her family doesn’t support that — they’re all about her getting into Harvard. So I’m skating five days a week for, like, two hours a day. I also have ballet every other day to work on the grace and skill.
So you’re in killer shape? I’m trying [pointing to her stomach]. Take a punch. I’m serious.
[After a gentle punch] Wow. Very admirable. Yeah, thank you. Rock-hard abs, right?
Um, so can you pass as an ice skater at this point? Ask me in a couple of months. I’m working very, very hard. My coach said that if I was to continue ice skating after the movie finishes, I could go on to compete. But I will not be quitting acting anytime soon, certainly not for ice skating.

Michelle Trachtenberg played a girl with a dark past in Gossip Girl, and now she's causing quite a stir in a different way.
The 28-year-old actress wants to prove that she has more to offer as she models one gorgeous outfit after another i n the October issue of Regard magazine.
Michelle shows very little trace of her two most famous characters, Georgina Sparks in Gossip Girl or Dawn Summers in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, in the shoot and admits she wants to be thought of as a 'mysterious chameleon'.

'I'm sure people still hold onto those characters, but to me, that just says I've made a solid impression,' Michelle tells the magazine.
'I've done my job and I'm grateful for their support. However, I am an actress, and the definition of being an actress to me is being a mysterious chameleon.
'All I've ever asked of my fans is that they understand. I'm always changing as a creative person, and I don't look backwards. Hopefully, they'll want to grow with me.'

The New York native looks amazingly svelte in one get-up that consists of a black leather mini skirt and tweed top, black tights and pointy black pumps.
Michelle obviously had fun with the various poses, going from pouty to sexily prim behind black-rimmed spectacles.

One photo shows Michelle lying on her back with her dark brown hair spilling out on either side of her head, and wearing a delicately embellished, ivory button-up frock.
'I've been a Marc Jacobs fan for years,' Michelle says, throwing in a few other names that include Marchesa, Stella McCartney, Tom Ford, Zac Posen, Isabel Marant, Rebecca Taylor, Miu Miu, Monique Lhuillier, Alexander Wang and Lanvin.
Michelle wants people to know she's not just a pretty face - she's also branching out to writing and producing.

'Being a multi-faceted person in this business is the most valuable thing you can be, longetivity-wise,' Michelle reveals.
Next on her plate is the TV movie Killing Kennedy, in which she plays Lee Harvey Oswald's wife Marina.
'I was very intrigued that Marina, who is still alive, was a little-known person in the famous JFK story,' Michelle tells Regard.
'Having a Russian background, I also was interested in the challenge of bringing that authentic accent/Russian-speaking part of her character to the screen.'
Michelle describes Marina as 'a complex, multi-dimensional woman who had no idea that she married a man who would change history.'

She further adds: 'Plus, I've always been a fan of the JFK story and all of the mystery surrounding it.
'This is the first film to really focus on the Oswalds and bring to light some of the reason behind the choices that led to Lee Harvey Oswald's horrible act.'
Killing Kennedy premieres November 10 on National Geographic.
Michelle also recently completed the thriller The Scribbler, slated for release in US theatres on May 1, 2014.
Coyly she says: 'Good things are coming up, but unfortunately I can't tell you all of my secrets just yet!'

It’s hard to pick out the best girls from Buffy and Angel, but a few definitely stood out from the rest.
In 1997, someone at the WB decided to take a crazy chance. They decided to okay a series based on a 1992 flop movie with one of the crazier titles around. Somehow, this show turned into a massive hit that ran for seven seasons, and two on the CW. It made Joss Whedon a cult icon and acclaimed for its fantastic mix of horror, comedy and drama. Buffy the Vampire Slayer helped change the television landscape, leading to slews of series focusing on whip-smart heroes and fun pop culture references. But few have touched the same power Buffy had to win over fans and it was helped by its spin-off Angel . Both shows created a cornerstone of amazing genre television that still is acclaimed today.
What helps is that both series boasted some of the hottest women around. Long before the term “CW Look” entered the TV lexicon, Buffy (and Angel ) were boasting some very sexy ladies. Some played down their age to be teenagers while others were being centuries old. Slayers, vampires, witches, even humans, they ran the gamut but all shared an amazing heat. It’s hard to pick out the best but a few stood out from the pack. And it helped that each was more than willing to flaunt their looks in various spreads, often in very little clothing. Here are 20 of the hottest pics made by the ladies of Buffy and Angel to show how two series could rock fans with the hottest women of their time.
Sarah Michelle Gellar was already a veteran when she was cast as Buffy Summers. She had played Susan Lucci’s daughter on All My Children , even winning a Daytime Emmy for the part. Gellar tried out for the role of Cordelia, thinking she was better there but Whedon wanted her as Buffy. Despite her short size, she packed in enough punch, believable in the fight scenes as well as handling the dramatic moments as well. Gellar became a star with the show as well as various movies and soon a major hit with magazines.
