Mia Khalifa is an American Social media personality and a former pornographic actress. Born in Beirut, she immigrated to the United States in 2001. EX-PORN star Mia Khalifa has called off her wedding celebration to Robert Sandberg despite the pair trying their "absolute hardest."
The former pornstar had previously delayed her June 2020 wedding due to the Covid pandemic, but has now canceled the reception for good.
According to Republic World , Khalifa and Sandberg legally got married at their home last year, and have just celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
However, they were expected to hold a late celebration for friends and family in the near future, which has since been canceled.
Last night, Khalifa announced the couple's split in an Instagram post accompanied by a black and white photograph of the couple's shadows.
"We can confidently say we gave it out all in making our marriage work but after almost a year of therapy and efforts we are walking away knowing we have a friend in each other, and that we truly tried," she wrote.
"We will always love and respect each other because we know that not one isolated incident caused our split, but rather, a culmination of unresolvable, fundamental differences that no one can blame the other for."
She went on to admit that the pair have "no regrets" and that they will remain connected through their "family, friends and our love for our dogs."
Khalifa dubbed the split as "long overdue" but reiterated that the pair "can walk away saying we tried our absolute hardest."
Sandberg shared the same post to his Instagram account, and the pair both restricted comments on the announcement.
She later shared an Instagram story writing "If you already booked a flight to my wedding, idk what to tell you. I hope you bought trip insurance."
The former pornhub icon was previously married during her adult career for three years between 2011 and 2014.
She then got engaged to Sandberg in March 2019, but he first appeared on her Instagram in August 2018.
Sandberg, 28, is a chef from Sweden who lived in LA with Khalifa and their dog, Bella.
It is unclear if he will remain in the states or return to his homeland.

Former Adult star, Mia Khlaifa has in a new interview, opened up on reasons why she stopped acting adult films. Mia was once one of the most sought after p*rn stars in the world. In the interview with Lance Armstrong, Mia opened up to him, revealed that her career in p*rn, came to an end when she began receiving death threats.
Apparently, the threats were from ISIS, and from there on, the Lebanese-American concluded that it was time to move on.
In one of the video she acted in, she was spotted wearing a hijab while performing her duties. This angered the terrorist group and they reached to her through social media, and issued some chilling death threats at her.
“They photoshopped a picture of me being beheaded and threatened that that would happen to me,”
She further revealed that she had to be strong, not to show weakness,
“Because you can’t show weakness. That’s exactly what [ISIS is] looking for. I really try and just make it look like it rolls off, but I’ll admit, it gets to you after a while.”
Mia was featured on Lance Armstrong’s podcast that he describes as “how we fuck up in life — either we fuck up ourselves or life fucks us up — and then we figure out a way to establish a base and move forward.”
Shocking enough, her p*rn career only lasted for about three months. It all started when someone approached her at Fuddruckers in Miami. She had just done her boob job and she felt it would be an avenue to make more money, she said to Armstrong.
“I thought about it for two weeks and made the mistake of saying yes and going in. As soon as I started to gain popularity, that’s when I was like, ‘Get the fuck out of this’ … this was not what I was trying to do whatsoever,” she revealed.
“I just wanted to let loose and rebel a little bit. It didn’t validate me. Nothing like that ever does. That’s not what you should be doing to try and build your self-esteem.”
