My passion for jewellery started over 30 years ago.
I remember when I attended at the Gold and Jewellery Fair in Vicenza for the first time. I was only 10 years old, the fair
venue was represented only by the structure called the "Aztec Temple", the structure that today is the pav. 2. I didn't know at that time , that I would be attending for many years to come.
I've learnt the basics of mechanical processing from my father, an industrial machineries representative, on his visits to mechanical workshops. Living in Bassano del Grappa, the town in Vicenza area well-known for its gold productions, helped to enhance this passion, leading me to attend the IED - European Institute for Design in Milan. After gaining my Diploma in Jewellery Design, I moved to Birmingham for a short but intense period. It was an important experience of work and life; I really loved living in the UK and during my stay, I understood how and why the designs made in Italy were so successful.
I had several work experiences abroad: in Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Bahrain and Indonesia.
These experiences all over the world have given me great emotions and have fed my creativity and curiosity. As a result, I can now feel at home anywhere.
I had the opportunity to collaborate with small venetian family companies, sharing their visions and projects, to offer my expertise to different international jewellery companies and to participate in the creation of trends books, to promote the gold culture.
As a manager, I initially worked for an important Italian jewellery brand, where I learnt how to create high end jewellery, a masterly combination of industrial and artisan processes to create jewellery with up to 150 carat diamonds, and then for an international fashion brand, based in London, where I could experience the research and development of jewels using non precious and innovative materials.
La mia passione per i gioielli nasce più di trent'anni fa.
Ricordo la mia prima visita alla Fiera dell'Oro di Vicenza quando l'esposizione era ancora solo concentrata alla sola 'piramide', quello che oggi è il padiglione 2. Avevo poco più di dieci anni. Allora non lo sapevo ancora che a quella prima visita ne sarebbero seguite molte altre.
ll fascino per la lavorazione meccanica l'ho imparato visitando le officine con il mio papà, un commerciante di macchine per la lavorazione delle lamiere. Arrivare alle produzioni industriali di oreficeria è stato un passo naturale: la mia città natale, Bassano del Grappa, è famosa per la produzione di catene d'oro. Per uno scherzo del destino mi sono trovata subito a vivere all'estero; e dopo il diploma in Design del Gioiello allo IED - Istituto Europeo di Milano parto per Birmingham e ci resto due mesi, un periodo breve ma intenso tanto da farmi innamorare dell'Inghilterra, dove ho avuto la conferma che il binomio design/made in Italy è vincente.
Da quel momento ho lavorato solo all'estero: Thailandia, Turchia, Emirati Arabi, Bahrain e Indonesia. Il mondo mi ha conquistata riempiendomi il cuore di profonde emozioni, di tanta meraviglia e gratitudine, alimentando la mia creatività e la mia curiosità. Ora mi sento a 'casa' dovunque.
Negli anni ho collaborato sia con piccole realtà familiari venete condividendo sogni e progetti, che con grandi aziende e organizzazioni internazionali per quaderni tendenze e progetti mirati a promuovere la cultura dell'oro.
La mia esperienza mi ha portata presto a ricoprire importanti posizioni manageriali prima per un grande brand italiano di gioielleria, dove ho scoperto e imparato a fare l'alta gioielleria seguendo la realizzazione di gioielli con diamanti fino a 150 carati, poi per un grande brand internazionale inglese della moda dove ho potuto sperimentare lo sviluppo prodotto del gioiello con tanti materiali alternativi non preziosi.
Now I live in the Hampshire with my husband, who I met in 2007 and married in the same year.
After almost four years covering a product manager rule for the international fashion company, I decided it was time to change: and as a result, I quit this job and decided to dedicate more time to my real passion, the jewellery design under any aspects.
I work as a freelance consultant and I'm also dedicated to research new combinations of precious materials with alternative materials. Using new technologies with the touch of the artisan tradition. Some of them are shown here in my Portfolio.
In November 2017 I have completed my MBA (Executive Master in Business and Administration) in Ethical, Responsibile and Sustainable Innovation in the Luxury Business, with a particular focus to Jewellery Industry at the University of Winchester.
At the beginning of September 2017 I have been appointed Programme Leader of the Master Course on Luxury Jewellery Management at the Birmingham City University - School of Jewellery and Lecturer of Luxury Jewellery and Ethical Branding
In August 2018 I have been promoted Course Director of the Master Course in Luxury Jewellery Management and main lecturer also for Industry Practice and Context, Research and Professional Skills, Major Project.
During 2019 I wrote, as Contributor at L'Orafo Italiano, articles about Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable aspects in the Luxury Jewellery Industry.
In May 2019, I have earned my PGCert and related status of Fellow of Higher Education Academy [FHEA].
In February 2019 and 2020 I have been awarded by The Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council with the Bronze Award for Jewellery Design for Direct Precious Metal 3D Printing.
Oggi vivo in Inghilterra con mio marito che ho conosciuto nel 2007 e ho sposato nello stesso anno.

Dopo quasi quattro anni ricoprendo il ruolo di manager del prodotto per il grande brand internazionale, ho deciso che era tempo di cambiare: ho lasciato quella posizione per dedicare più tempo alla mia vera passione: la progettazione dei gioielli sotto ogni aspetto.

Lavoro come consulente freelance e mi dedico anche appassionatamente alla ricerca di nuove combinazioni di materiali preziosi con materiali alternativi. Usando nuove tecnologie con rifiniture a mano di artigiana tradizione. Una selezione è visibile qui nel Portfolio.
A novembre 2017 ho completato il mio MBA (Executive Master in Business and Administration) in Innovazione Etica, Responsabile e Sostenibile nel Business del Lusso, in particolare nell'Industria dei Gioielli, all'Università di Winchester.
Da settembre 2017 sono Programme Leader per il Corso di Master in Luxury Jewellery Management presso la Birmingham City University - School of Jewellery e sono Lecturer in Luxury Jewellery and Ethical Branding.
Nell'agosto del 2018 sono stata promossa Direttore del corso dello stesso Corso di Mast, e lecturer principale per i moduli for Industry Practice and Context, Research and Professional Skills, Major Project.
Durante il 2019 ho collaborato con L'Orafo Italiano come Contributor, scrivendo articoli su aspetti di Etica, Responsabilità e Sostenibilità nel settore del gioiello prezioso e di lusso.
Per due anni consecutivi, a febbraio 2019 e 2020, sono stata premiata da 'The Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council' con il bronzo nella categoria Design Di Gioielleria prodotta tramite stampa diretta 3D in metalli preziosi (Jewellery Design for Direct Precious Metal 3D Printing).
In the last years I thought a lot about my professional career, about its evolution and its transformation.
I took the time to consider the skills and the know-how I have gained and how this mix has generated and motivated new insights and values. I have pondered about the knowledge I have acquired and how our personal choices impact on our daily life and not only on our wellbeing but also on the others and on the environment.

The search for beauty has always been one of the aim of the human being, but today becomes a priority that this is created based on the harmony of ethics and the responsibility for environment and people.

My aim is help companies to develop collections with a new style that respects the value of the artisan touch also by adopting the new technologies, such as AM (Additive Manufacturing) for precious metals, to obtain a valuable and unique result: a new harmony between the warm imperfection of the hand-made and the precise process of new technologies.

In questi ultimi anni ho avuto modo di pensare alla mia vita professionale, alla sua evoluzione e trasformazione.
Ho riflettuto sulle competenze ed i saperi che ho via via acquisito, su come questi si siano spesso combinati tra loro generando nuovi stimoli e nuove capacità. Ho riflettuto sul patrimonio di know-how che ho maturato e sull'impatto che le nostre scelte hanno sulla vita quotidiana e sul benessere non solo nostro, ma degli altri e dell'ambiente che condividiamo.
La ricerca della bellezza è sempre stata una delle aspirazioni degli uomini, ma oggi diventa prioritario che a questa si accompagni l'armonia dell'etica e la responsabilità per l'ambiente e le persone.
Il mio impegno è di sostenere quelle aziende interessate a sviluppare collezioni che creino uno stile evoluto capace di preservare i preziosi valori della artigianalità, la calda imperfezione del fatto a mano combinati all'utilizzo della rigorosa perfezione delle nuove tecnologie come la AM (Manifattura Additiva) per metalli preziosi.
Bellezza per gli occhi, bellezza per l'anima.©
