A miniature golf venue that markets itself as an upscale, tech-infused mini golf experience with a high-energy, upscale nightclub vibe is now open in Scottsdale. The two-story venue debuted its first Arizona location to the public on June 14 at Scottsdale Quarter, 15059 N. Scottsdale Road. Players can expect four unique, tech-driven, competitive mini-golf courses, according to a press release. Puttshack specializes in pairing modern tech with crazy courses, according to its website , and rounds out the experience with global food and drink. One of its selling features is technology that keeps score for golfers as they play. This has been a good year for miniature golf enthusiasts in the Valley. Earlier this year, Tiger Woods mini golf and entertainment center, PopStroke, opened its doors at Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale , with a second location planned on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Reservation near Scottsdale. We don’t do lame paper score cards here, reads Puttshacks website, with multiple mentions of how crazy the experience is. It promises to deliver a different interactive game at every hole, with themes that include beer pong and pop culture trivia. Trackaball technology allows more time for playing rather than scorekeeping. At the beginning of each game, the players profile is linked to a ball, allowing it to track putts. The space at Scottsdale Quarter spans 25,000 square feet and two stories, with a dining area and full bar.. The founders of Topgolf (Steven and Dave Jolliffe) and Adam Breeden, who has been credited by Insider as the brains behind some of Londons most popular going-out spots, are behind Puttshack. Its first locations opened in the United Kingdom, and the first U.S. outpost opened in Atlanta in 2021. This will be its ninth U.S. location.
