Metale Tutorial #4: Collection Page
Metale Protocol
This guide is intended to help everyone understand all the features of the NFT collection page on the Metale platform, including all the sections and their different representations for various content NFT collection issuance standards (economic models).
Important note: This guide only covers video-based content (short drama) for different NFT standards. Other types of content have a similar representation, so the following description applies to all types of content.
NFT Collection Page
Everyone can land on the NFT collection page with different ways:
- Visit a link you found outside of the Metale platform (e.g., sent to you by a friend or seen from KOL). Example: https://www.metale.world/box/0x0E3d5040d9Bc5E16Ab83992310f9eb8b508e4AAD (from browser address bar).
- Different Metale platform sections, including, but not limited to, the EXPLORE page, the TRADE (Bonding Curve, NFT Market, Crypto) page, the LAUNCHPAD page.
Below, we will cover the two main types of NFT collection pages: for Bonding Curve and for BEP721/BEP404 NFT economic models.
1. Bonding Curve Collection Page
Assuming the content NFT collection of a short drama was issued within Bonding Curve economic model, let's cover all the sections of the collection page.
- Overview (Bonding Curve):
This is the main section with the content. For short drama, there are episodes, some of which are trials and some of which are locked to paid consumption via fiat currency payment tools (coming soon as TaleTV).
A. Language: Select the available language of the content.
B. Creator Profile: Click on the name to visit the creator's profile page. Everyone can check all creator's content NFT collections, their available orders on the Metale NFT Market, activity, etc. Read more about the Profile in Metale Tutorial #2: Profile Overview.
C. Mint/Sell: Acquire or sell NFTs (here, videoboxes) within Bonding Curve model using these buttons. If you have at least 1 videobox, all episodes (D) are unlocked for free watching.
For more information about the Bonding Curve economic model, read Metale Tutorial #9: Bonding Curve (coming soon).
Additionally, by owning an NFT (owning the % of copyrights), you automatically become a participant in the revenue-sharing through various mechanisms (NFT trade, paid consumption). For more details, read the separate tutorials for each NFT economic model.
D. Episodes: Episodes 1-10 are trial episodes, available for everyone to watch for free. In the near future, creators will be able to set the number of trial episodes themselves, but currently, after the content publication, 10 chapters/episodes are trial by default for all content NFT collections. Episodes beyond 10 are locked and can be accessed in two ways:
- Owning at least 1 NFT of this content collection (unlocks all episodes).
- Watching through a pay-per-episode payment model using bank cards, i.e. fiat currency (coming soon as TaleTV).
- Information (Bonding Curve):
On this page everyone can find all the market information about a particular content NFT collection. This is especially important if you are a merchant (trader, investor) who is interested in statistics.
A. Total Value Locked (TVL): The amount of $RCM locked in this NFT collection now.
B. Total Value: The amount of $RCM that was spent in total on this NFT collection.
C. Revenue: The amount of income generated by the creator from this NFT collection.
D. 24h value: The amount of $RCM that was spent on this NFT collection within 24 hours.
E. Introduction: The content you wrote as an introduction to your NFT collection (CREATE: 1. Submit your work).
F. Holders: A list of all NFT owners along with the amount of NFT in holding and percentage of total NFT supply. Each user's profile can be checked and tracked.
- Activity (Bonding Curve):
This is a page that shows all transactions that have occurred with the NFT collection. Thus, everyone can always see who bought and sold NFTs to the liquidity pool of the particular NFT collection (Bonding Curve economic model feature), as well as the quantity and price of the trade.
A. Activity History: Check the merchant name, transaction date, number of NFTs bought/sold, and trade price.
- Comment (Bonding Curve):
This page allows any user to leave on-chain comments, which will be permanently stored on the blockchain. In the future, this feature will expand to include more governance tools for building your own Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) around your content NFT collection.
A. Content Status: Mark which status you have with the NFT collection ("Watching" or "Finished Watching"). This status is also stored on the blockchain and can always be changed by signing the transaction and overwriting the on-chain data.
B. Comments: Check out other users' comments, leave your own, share your opinion, and remember - it's all stored on the blockchain!
Important note: As of June 12, both Content Status and Comments earn you vMETALE points since these actions are on-chain and require a blockchain transaction. Check the number of vMETALE point rewards on the REWARD page (vMETALE history).
2. 721/404 Collection Page
Assuming the content NFT collection of a short drama was issued within 721 or 404 economic model, let's cover all the sections of the collection page.
Important note: Sections "Overview" and "Comment" are the same for all NFT standards, but sections "Information" and "Activity" are different. Moreover, NFT collections in 721/404 standard have an additional section "Items" with all NFT orders of this collection available on Metale NFT Market. Finally, there are no "Mint" and "Sell" buttons for 721/404, as users are expected to trade NFTs (721/404) on the NFT Market and tokens (404) on Crypto page.
- Items (721/404):
This page serves as the internal NFT marketplace for a specific content collection. All NFT orders here are also available on the general NFT Market. This page is designed for the convenience of trading NFTs within a particular NFT collection, eliminating the need to search for them on the global marketplace.
A. NFT order: Check the available NFT orders within the collection. Depending on the NFT collection economic model, NFTs in both 721 and 404 standards are listed here.
- Information (721/404):
Again, this is the same market information page as for Bonding Curve NFT model, but with different statistics available.
A. Total volume: The overall trading volume of the NFT collection, including only the NFT trades performed on the NFT Market (as well as in the "Items" section since it's the same).
B. 24h volume: The trading volume of the NFT collection during the last 24 hours.
C. Floor price: The minimum price in $RCM of the NFT order available on NFT Market for this content collection.
D. Total sales: The total number of successful deals completed within this NFT collection over all time.
E. Mint/Total: The number of minted (available on all wallets) NFTs of this collection/the total NFT supply of the collection.
Important notes:
- If a creator launches a content collection in the 721 standard with the "NFT" type, the initial number of minted NFTs equals the total NFTs (100/100 on the image below), as all NFTs in this collection are initially minted into the creator's wallet. Afterwards, the creator needs to start setting up sell orders to begin distributing the available NFTs. For more information about the 721 standard and its operational features, read Metale Tutorial #10: BEP721 Model (coming soon).
- If a creator launches a content collection in the 721 standard with the "Launchpad" type, the initial number of minted NFTs is 0, as all NFTs in this collection are expected to be initially minted on the Metale Launchpad using crowdfunding feature. Read more about the Metale Launchpad operational features in Metale Tutorial #7: Launchpad Guide (coming soon).
- If a creator launches a content collection in the 404 standard, the initial number of minted NFTs is 0, as the creators first needs to add any liquidity to their 404 NFT collection (token part). Only after adding liquidity via external platforms (for example, PancakeSwap), the 404 NFT collection will firstly appear on Crypto page for token trading. Once at least one user buys at least one token, 1 NFT is automatically minted to this user's wallet, updating the "Mint/Total" collection statistics to 1/100. For more information about the 404 standard and its operational features, read Metale Tutorial #11: BEP404 Model (coming soon).
F. Holders: The number of current holders with the detailed list below in this section.
⚠️ This section contains statistics only about NFTs, whether they are 721 or 404 standards. Statistics and the purchase section for 404 tokens are only available on Crypto page within the same NFT collection.
- Activity (721/404):
This page enables everyone to monitor all transactions performed with the NFTs of this content collection.
A. Trade History: Check the seller and buyer profiles, the specific NFT, deal price, and trade date.
