Удивительно, но основная часть уличных наркотиков — это препараты, которые изобретались с благими намерениями. Призванные облегчать боль или устранять тревогу и депрессию, они рано или поздно попадают в поле зрения тех, кто ищет новые способы опьянения. И метадон, разработанный с целью получения сильного анальгетика, относится как раз к таким веществам. Метадон 6- диметиламино -4,4-дифенилгептанон-3 — синтетический наркотик длительного действия из группы опиоидов. В медицинских целях применяется как анальгетик, а также в заменительной терапии, при лечении наркотической зависимости. Синонимы и аналоги метадона: амидон amidone , анадон anadon , гептадон heptadone , долофин dolophine , фенадон phenadone , физептон physeptone. Изначально метадон не имел никакого отношения к наркобизнесу. В году группой немецких ученых был создан препарат, который назвали Долафин. Вещество синтезировали из диметиламинхлорпропана и дифенилацетонитрила. Впоследствии в качестве исходного продукта для синтеза стали использовать дифенилбутансульфокислоту, что заметно упростило процесс получения препарата. Метадон, являясь относительно дешевым и простым в производстве, стал применяться в качестве замены более дорогого морфина в терапии боли. Нисвандер и В. Его наивысшая концентрации в крови наблюдается через 4 часа: обезболивающий эффект при приеме терапевтической дозы наступает спустя минут, и продолжается около часов. При подкожном введении препарата наркотический эффект наступает через минут, а концентрация метадона в крови приближается к пиковым значениям уже через часа. Так же, как и другие препараты опиоидной группы, метадон вызывает чувство полной расслабленности и безопасности, эйфорию, а его действие продолжается от 1 до 3 суток, в зависимости от индивидуальных особенностей ЦНС и принятой дозы. Это значит, что с каждым последующим применением наркотика его концентрация в организме увеличивается, и одновременно с этим повышается вероятность передозировки. А точнее — одна зависимость заменяла другую. А без возможности принять метадон наркоман испытывает все эти симптомы мышечную и головную боль, судорожный синдром, тошноту и рвоту, крайнюю степень апатии, сменяющуюся приступами агрессии и пр. Как и большинство наркотиков, метадон вызывает привыкание: с течением времени степень опьянения и эйфории после его употребления становится все слабее, что заставляет наркомана увеличивать дозу. Но привыкание не означает, что негативное влияние этого вещества ослабевает так же, как острота ощущений. Наоборот — организм, уже изношенный бесконечными попытками утилизировать продукты распада метадона, и не дать ему причинить непоправимый вред, страдает еще сильнее. Как результат, даже небольшая передозировка этого наркотика практически гарантирует летальный исход. Вопрос лишь в том, как скоро случится непоправимое. Но причины смерти в результате метадоновой зависимости не ограничиваются превышением дозы. Действие препарата на ЦНС и гладкую мускулатуру часто приводит к подавлению кашлевого и рвотного рефлекса, которые, по своей сути, являются защитными механизмами. Как следствие, смерть от внезапной пневмонии, дыхательной недостаточности или элементарного пищевого отравления — не редкость в среде людей, зависимых от метадона. Его стоимость на черном рынке достаточно высока для того, чтобы самая уязвимая категория — дети и подростки — были от него в какой-то мере защищены. Appropriate studies have not been performed on the relationship of age to the effects of methadone in the pediatric population. Safety and efficacy have not been established.
