French term or phrase: mes "petits"
A lawyer strongly denies the words he is quoted as saying in a draft newspaper article. Context: "Je ne retrouve pas vraiment mes "petits" dans ce papier". I can't be more specific, as the matter is highly confidential. It sounds like a colloquialism to me. Urgent, as usual.

Melissa McMahon : this phrase (ie 'can't make head nor tail'), to me, suggests strong confusion as to meaning of something, rather than specifically not recognising a set of words as one's 'own'
