Memorial Science Olympiad State Bound

The Memorial High School Science Olympiad team has qualified for the UIL Science Olympiad State Tournament for the third consecutive year, placing second at the regional invitational. The team of 15 students competed across 23 events over two competition days.

The Events

The Science Olympiad events that the Memorial team has developed the strongest performance in: the experimental design event, where the team has finished in the top three at every regional competition for the past two years; the anatomy and physiology event; and the Wright stuff aviation event, which the team engineers have been developing competitive aircraft for across the past three seasons.

The State Tournament

The state tournament will test the Memorial team against the science olympiad programmes across Texas. The Memorial team attends for the third consecutive time with the experience advantage that the returning members provide. Go Mavericks.
