The event will have more than 500 health care professionals and volunteers operating a no-cost medical and dental clinic July 13-15. Approximately $3 million in free health-related services will be offered to noninsured and underinsured residents.

The clinic is a service of Adventist-Laymen’s Services & Industries (ASI). The group is in partnership with the Seventh-day Adventist Church and other entities.

The event, which will be conducted at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center, is located at 200 Armory Drive. Eight semi trucks of equipement will be unloaded into the convention center.

“It is a phenomenal opportunity for people who can get there,” said Amy Fullmer of the Parkersburg Seventh-day Adventist Church. “It’s a first come, first served situation. There are no boundaries of who can come. They just have to be able to be there.”

Fullmer said at least 10 members of the Parkersburg congregation will be attending.

Fullmer said no insurance and no identification are required. The free clinic hours are 7 a.m. -4 p.m. July 13-14. The clinic hours for July 15 are 7 a.m.- noon.

Clinics have been conducted earlier in the year in Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Antonio.

“There will be an escort for every 건마 patient who walks through the door,” Fullmer said. “Volunteers are needed to take care of the workers’ children as well as the patients’ children. If you can walk or hop you can volunteers. We’re looking for a lot of people who can smile and help.”

Fullmer said more than 500 people will volunteer to help during the three days. Free on-site services include primary care visits, gynecology and women’s health services including pap smears and consultation by medical specialists including heart evaluation, as well as pulmonology, infectious disease, general and orthopedic surgery, pediatrics, podiatry services, immunizations, root canals, crowns, fillings, extractions, dental cleaning, pharmacy, eyeglass fittings and examinations, STD screenings, medical massage, physical therapy, X-rays, laboratory services, haircuts, financial counseling, chaplaincy services and a free meal.
