Mel B was 'stark b*****k naked' when she received her MBE from the Duke of Cambridge at an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace, she revealed.
Mel B looked stunning as she arrived at Buckingham Palace in a gorgeous red dress that was designed by her former bandmate, Victoria Beckham.
Mel revealed that Victoria aka Posh Spice even flew back from Miami so that she could personally handpick the outfits worn by Mel and her mother and then revealed why she decided to go nude underneath.
Mel B told The Sun (opens in new tab) that she was “stark, b****ck naked” underneath the stunning red dress and revealed, "Victoria asked me, ‘Will you wear nipple covers? I said, ‘Why bother?’"
The star opted to go nude underneath this stunning gown in order to prevent her underwear from showing through the gown. As the dress is 'cut from matte, bonded crepe' that would show any lumps and bumps caused by underwear underneath the dress.
Victoria Beckham took to Instagram to thank Mel for allowing her to dress her. "A true role model, it was such an honor to dress you and your mum. Mel is wearing the Fitted T-shirt Dress in Tomato Red, and iconic VB silhouette and colour. Her mum, Andrea wears a VB T-shirt Dress with a subtle off white check motif.”
While at this event, Mel revealed that she had another small hiccough when her MBE award was pinned to her chest. The star revealed, "When it came to the part where Prince William had to pin the MBE on, he asked for a female official to do it. I didn’t think I had that much cleavage on show!"
The star actually had a slit cut into her gown and the typical item from the Victoria Beckham line does not feature a slit across the chest to reveal a little bit of cleavage. Clearly, as the star was close friends with the designer she could make a few requests about the cut of the dress!
While at the investiture, Prince William and Mel B's 'mutual fangirling' delighted royal fans. Mel revealed, “William told me, ‘I’m so delighted that it’s me giving you this’ and he asked, ‘Will you get the Spice Girls back together?’. I told him I was having dinner with Victoria that evening and he said, ‘Oh good, I’ll work on David then’.”
Despite Mel's hilarious anecdotes about this event, the former Spice Girl was there because of her contributions to an incredibly important cause. Mel was a victim of domestic abuse for a number of years and since coming out of an abusive relationship she was able to speak about her own experiences and help other women in similar situations.
Mel revealed that she spoke about this at length with Prince William. "I think William thought I was receiving the MBE for being a Spice Girl, but I told him that it was for my work on domestic violence. He wanted to hear all about it," said the former Spice Girl.
“In fact, I felt guilty holding up the queue because we spent so long talking. I told him I had been in an abusive marriage for ten years, which I finally got out of by the skin of my teeth," she continued. “And then I wrote a book all about it and became a patron for Women’s Aid. I told him that when I wrote my autobiography, people were not really talking about things like coercive control, that it was a dark, taboo topic. I explained that I often visit a women’s refuge in Leeds near where I live."
The star concluded, "It was a really good conversation and a very special moment for me."

MEL B has posed totally naked in a swimming pool with her best friend for her latest social media snap.
The Spice Girl took to Instagram this morning to share a couple of pictures with her BFF Gary Madatyan, with the pals both stripping off to have fun in the water.
In one picture, Gary grins at the camera as Mel, 43, wraps her arms around his neck and arches her back and lifts herself slightly out of the water.
The star shows off her trim waist and pert bottom as she emerges from the water, captioning the shot: "Back to basics naked but never ever afraid finally,with my Bestie @gary_90210 #blessd #trust #nojudgement #brutallyhonest #nodrama."
In a second shot, Mel shows off her back tattoo and sits side on to the camera while Gary looks directly down the lens and puts one arm in the air.
She wrote alongside it: "And then there where 2 #truefriendshipneverends #brutallyhonest #truth."
The singer referred to her upcoming autobiography's title in the post, with her tell-all book - Brutally Honest - being released in November.
The Spice Girls star will face a hefty payout if she details their turbulent relationship, which resulted in daughter Angel, 11.
Despite the twice-married star promising the book would tell all about the men in her life, the 2007 gagging clause is causing a headache with the writing process.
The legal agreement was made at the same time that mum-of-three Mel agreed to a cash settlement from the Beverly Hills Cop actor after a DNA test proved he is Angel’s father.
A source said: “Mel has to be very careful about her chapter on Eddie , because they have a legal deal in place.
“That came in the aftermath of him denying being the dad of Angel and then working out a financial deal through lawyers.

MEL B left her fans baffled as she stripped off to shower naked with her dog ahead of her theatre show this evening.
The 44-year-old made sure both she and her pup Cookie were sparkling clean as she got ready with her mum.
Holding the dog in her arms, she told fans: "Showering cookie for my show tonight #brutallyhonest yippeee @leedsgrandtheatre #clean #dogs #show #ready.”
Not quite sure what to make of it, one fan wrote: “Who has showers with their dog?”
While another added: “Wtf showering with dog ???” and someone else remarked: “Who has showers with their dog?”
Other fans were more concerned that there were just 15 meet and greet tickets up for grabs for tonight’s show.
Earlier this week The Sun revealed that Scary Spice is set to miss out on £57,000 in unsold tickets from her Brutally Honest Evening with Mel B events.
While she sold out 13 stadiums with the Spice Girls over the summer, Scary has been struggling to get bums on seats for the live Q&A sessions in Leeds and London, which are inspired by her Brutally Honest autobiography, released last year.
For her show tonight, Mel still has 651 seats to fill at the 1,550-capacity Leeds Grand Theatre, where tickets cost between £20 and £100.
And while she has managed to get rid of more than half the seats, the empty ones mean she’s set to lose out on £21,878 in profit.
But it’s even worse in London , where she plays the Savoy Theatre on September 1.
Mel has sold just under half of the venue’s 1,158 seats — and because London is pricier than up north, with tickets going for between £30 and £125, she is set to miss out on £35,120 if she can’t get the tickets sold.
