Update 08-27-2018 The last of the pieces came in the mail! Their customer service is just awesome. They fixed every issue and even did better in a couple cases, replacing a bit more than they really had to, but making sure everything was all set. I have no reservations about buying any Mega Bloks sets, so long as it's not both big and really old, since then replacement parts might possibly be a problem. However, I have seen message board entries that say they're pretty good about old ones even. So the set itself, it is just AWESOME. I have it sitting on my table now and I just stared at it for an hour yesterday taking it in. The thing is like you pulled it right out of the cartoon. My only knock is that the pieces don't fit together quite perfectly. Legos are always a tight fit, these will have some gaps. I had to make minor modifications using some of the extra pieces included, but nothing too major. There are also a number of gaps in the outside armor where things could fit better, but really it's a minor thing since there are gaps anyway that it has by design and they don't detract at all. The inside was impressive enough my wife even commented and she normally would never care about anything like this. With some extra parts from some of the other sets I was able to add some neat effects to the underside of the doors and customize it in a number of subtle ways like adding turrets. I thoroughly love this thing. I'm guessing it's big enough I won't have it for many, many years like the Turtle van, but I'm going really enjoy the time I do have with it while I do have the room. --------------------------- With a building set like this, any missing pieces are a violation of trust. Previous Mega Bloks products I've had all the pieces, though sometimes they were obviously added to the box when someone noticed a missing item after the plastic bag inside was sealed. That occurred with this set too, but I don't mind one bit. I also don't mind extra bricks, even though it's a bit confusing, but hey use them for something else. However, I'm missing something like 7 of them total. SAVE THE BOX & MANUAL! Trust me, you'll need for missing parts. Their website has a parts request form. If you have the box it's super easy, just put in the codes on the box, the parts out of the manual, quantities, give your contact info, and done. It gives you an order number. However, there's no way to check the status on it and two separate orders, now a week apart, for this set and another email form submission to customer service on a defective belt for a turtle have had no notification of any kind. I have no idea if the order was actually registered, how long it'll take to ship, or even a certainty I didn't type my address in wrong; though I doubt I typed it wrong, I can't check. BUT.....unlike a lot of places they offer live phone support! Not sure if faster, but it's better info on the phone. I'm able to mostly build the set with a missing section of white armor, a half finished catwalk, a missing gray piece, and I can't hang the remaining wall pieces on one door without a shipment. According to their phone guys, the order should take a couple weeks to arrive so that makes me a happier camper.

SAVE THE BOX & MANUAL! - Missing Pieces But Great Customer Support

This thing is fantastic! it's really big and looks great! I had a blast building it! The instructions and packaging are kinda lacking polish. The individual bags are NOT numbered by steps or stages as they are in pretty much EVERY other Lego or Lego style kits. So it is much more difficult to find pieces you need. With over 2500 pieces its a borderline logistical nightmare. Imagine if you will, you've built a big kit and now you've disassembled it and want to build it again, that's basically how the build goes. Still awesome and still fun to build. just spent a LOT of time searching for parts

I bought this for my son for Christmas, not knowing it was a lego set! Thankfully HE did! It is MASSIVE! He (by himself but for an hour or so his father helped when he got discouraged) put the WHOLE thing together in less than THREE days! The legso are sorted into bags for ease of putting together. My son (unbeknownest to us) opened ALL the bags and dumped them into a HUGE pile! If he had left the legso sorted in the bags, he would have built it MUCH faster. This thing is HEAVY!!! Also, it's STURDY once put together. Now you can't be moving it around, but everything that suppose to move moves. I 'think' two pieces were broken or my son broke them. THANKFULLY it didn't hinder him putting it together. My son is 10 yrs old.

We bought this for our 10yo son who loves Legos and TMNT. But unlike Lego, the pieces are spread throughout multiple bags, and the building directions are not as clear. He got this as a Christmas gift and it still not complete. His dad and I even devoted a few hours each thinking that would speed the building process along. He likes playing with the mini-figs though! (am I allowed to call them that? Maybe figurines of a small size is better)

I went every where looking for this even the toys r us when they were closing down and no luck but thankfully I found it here took about three days but it came out a awesome jus the little gold things that hold it from the top we’re too flimsy and break easily

It’s fun to build but pecies missing and hard to clip togeather!

It was worth it. I like it, it took hours to build, and it didnt even miss a piece. One thing that I disliked about it was the connector pieces for the dome. While connecting them, at least 3 broke. But overall it was great!:) hopefully this review gave you some advice!

Very cool set, was way bigger than I thought it would be, but that isn't a bad thing. From some other reviews, people were saying they were shorted pieces, but that wasn't an issue at all with mine, after assembly I still had tons of extra pieces, so I jut did a bit of customizing on it. Well worth the money, especially if you are a die hard fanboy of the 80s TMNT like I am

I know, I know they did it in the old show with the giant one and towards the end even a normal turtles sized one, which I happened to get, but the krang was way too cone headed. However, this one is just plain impressive. It's really tall, towering over the turtles and the van if you have it. It also comes with Leonardo and Raphael so it fills in your ranks pretty well. The main thing I have against it, other than the part I'll cover in a second, is that the legs are way more jointed than the arms. I don't get it, you'd want more flexibility in what he grabs. Still, good set. Now the one major bad thing to the set, the suspenders are at least a few millimeters too short. They pull really tight and are near certain to break in time. They help hold the body onto the Krang holder part, which is only attached by two little stick block things, but it's just way too fragile and again not if, but when it breaks, it'll look bad. Still, you can always tape or glue it if you want, so there are ways around it.

Prior to buying, I saw some criticism about the silver suspenders belt that's prone to snap. While hey are a milliliter short, they're made of soft plastic, and are stretchable. By heating them up a bit (even just by rolling them in the palms of the hands) and then stretching them a bit while holding them between the holes, it's possible to stretch them enough so they don't seem stressed after assembly. Otherwise, very nice quality. The small figures are extremely detailed for their size and are very pose-able (even to a fault, as the turtles' legs can be a bit fiddly to make them stand on their own). The joints on the Krang robot have an excellent balance between being tight but not stiff.

Having never owned a Mega Bloks product before, I was skeptical of spending my money on a LEGO knockoff. I had to though as it was a TMNT product and that franchise was a huge part of my childhood. After opening it and seeing that there were way more pieces then I imagined, I was quite happy, as I feel the more pieces equals more bang for your buck. I was right. The bloks are just as good quality wise as LEGO and the final result was awesome. Original Krang towering over Raph and Leo. The metal shells that they come with was a neat but unnecessary feature. Their turtles overall look is far better than anything LEGO would have been able to pull off. I am quite happy with this purchase even though I feel too old to have it sitting around but what the hell, cowabunga!

I've always thought that mega bloks is a cheap copy of lego, but after seeing this new tmnt line I decided to buy my first mega bloks set. I'm so happy to report that my initial opinion of the mega blok franchise was wrong, this set is INCREDIBLE: the amount of detail of the mini figures (they should be called mini "action" figures, because the amount of articulation is awesome) is spot on, the quality of the bloks material, the paint job, the likeness of the characters, and all accessories are impressive. I'm going to keep adding this toy line to my collection because the amount of detail proves that it was made by fans of the original cartoon. Oh, and everything arrived in prime condition and in the estimated time

This is a fantastic set. Krang's body has some gret articulation thanks to the ball joints used for the shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles. His head and torso can swivel, and his elbows are hinge joints. The turtles look absolutely fantastic. I've never seen such articulation and detail on a figure of this size. The manhole covers (stands for the turtles) also have a hole in the center you can use to put the Channel 6 sign into, so it can stand as well. It's an impressive set, for a great price on Amazon. Well worth it for fans of the classic TMNT series.

Bought most of the classic turtles megabloks line - and this one is probably the most fun set up from the first series of figures. If you love the classic single figures, the finished Krang will go extremely well in scale with them. Easy to build, the piece is fairly poseable though not as durable as a full plastic piece (ie one you do not have to assemble.) If you are hoping to give these pieces to a child, i would advise a kid over the age of 8 or 9 as these are easier to break or pull apart.

My husband and I have two small kids who love TMNT. He's an old school TMNT fan and I'm a newbie so I'm used to the Kraang on the new TMNT on Nickelodeon and he remembers Krang from back in the day with the really funky voice! He will never accept the Kraang into his heart so I bought him this guy! We're a LEGO family, but this set is great! Especially the turtles. They are really well put together and so detailed. This is priced at about half what they're asking at Walmart or Meijer too! Everyone wins!

This is a well designed, beautifully made, properly scaled masterpiece!
